Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

Wow! I at first thought that this was a popup layout as that is what I was greeted with, however I see that there is a close box, and I will be hitting it now.

You know I am probably one of the only people to say this but I love when people use doujin images for layouts. And this is no exception. I am however questioning the background on the page as it seems to be some sort of writing in a VERY faint blue on white. I am not sure the purpose of this or how it really ties in at all.

Every link is consistant with the layout except for the guestbook, but that isn't all that uncommon as to put a guestbook into your page generally requires selling your soul to the company beforehand.

The only complaints that I have about this site is that the t35 link that is on the right side of the layout looked like it was supposed to be part of the layout somehow at first because of its location and yet it is just this freehost's way of trying to whore out their overly lame service. Even better than that is the popup that accompanies the clicking of EVERY link.

The layout for this site would be great if it weren't for the host. I would highly suggest paying for some webspace if you can or find a host that doesn't have popups. Paid space can now be purchased for as little as $2.99/month and at that rate I think pretty much anybody can afford it, but if you can't, there are still free hosts out there that don't have popups. Please give it a try.

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

Well, now, this took FOREVER to load. My gosh. I felt like I was on dial up again. So, apparently, this site doesnt run or load correctly unless you allow pop ups. And this site is FULL of pop ups. My gosh, this is not the best way to get on my good side. So, I'm trying to read the info section, for some reason, if u dont click on the link fast enough, a pop up fills the area. How very annoying.

Yay! The website froze on me! w00t! Oh my gosh, this site fails at life.

I'm trying my best to review the written information, even though this site really doesnt want to cooperate with me. This person's knowledge is accurate from what I recall from my studies in Greek Mythology....Ok, the site offically died on me.

Ya know what, fix your stupid site! I can't even do my job because of this garbage.

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

Whoa... that's a lot of ads. I have a popup blocker, and still had a ton of ads show up!! What's the deal? The iframe doesn't help with the ad situation; that just doubles the number of ads that are displayed on the site. My advice for this webmaster is to run as fast as you can to a new host! If the site absolutely HAS to stay here, at least use a layout without frames. All of these ads are very discouraging to visitors - I could barely get to the site itself for all the ads in my way! If I was a typical visitor (not reviewing the site), I would have closed the page immediately and not given it a second thought. Yes, the ads are that big of a problem.

Ok, I'm here for multimedia content, so I guess I better review that! This is a gallery, so I'm hoping for the best here! I'm going to go for the anime section first. The first thing I'm noticing here is one of my biggest pet peeves - there is plain text where links may (or may not) be in the future. To me, this is like advertising what your website is LACKING, instead of emphasizing what you DO have. There are only two working galleries here: one for Michiru, and one for screencaps. I'm not so impressed with the Michiru gallery. The quality of the images isn't great, and the quantity isn't what I hoped for, either (since this IS the only working character gallery in the anime section). The episode screencaps are cool, but the quality could be improved a bit. And there should definitely be more!

Things are looking better in the manga section... there are more pages with actual content, which is a definite plus. I'm certainly more impressed with both the quantity and quality of these images. This person seems to have even taken time to edit text and things out of the images.

... but my happiness is short-lived, because the whole "other" section is just totally empty. Ah, well. At least the manga section was decent! But I've got to say, for a GALLERY, I was not overly impressed with this site.
