Written Content Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content? |
ViluyBad, if not UGLY for the complete misinformation being put about by this site. There's a lot to cover in this site. Most of it is well-written, if wordy. There are quite a few spelling errors though, which I will outline here. It might help to use spell-checker. I believe it's included with most programs these days. Don't rely on yourself solely because even the best of us make mistakes. The fact that in the episode summaries, the webmistress uses Japanese as well as English, illustrating the episode, I think is rather a neat touch. I've not seen it done in too many other places, if anywhere, actually. I don't feel that it takes away from the enjoyment of the site at all, or the information being provided. I just wish the webmistress had put the completed summary up, rather than part of it. The grammar seems to be fine, with the differences being more in style rather than in actual errors. There are only the two summaries available at the moment, for episode one, and episode five. Episode One Spelling errors: jewely, Jewelry = jewellry; immidiatly = immediately; broach = brooch. (Broach is a common error I've seen, on even the best sites, but it is misused here. Brooch is the word being used here in this context, not broach, which means to break into, or open for the first time. Like broaching a cask of ale or the walls of a castle.) Episode Five Spelling errors: hidious = hideous; valient = valiant; mischivious = mischevious or mischevous; releived = relieved; Jedite = Jadeite; wimper = whimper; were = where; angerly = angrily Now, you may argue with the spelling of Jadeite but even in the Japanese versions, all the written work has been written Jadeite, not the English dub of Jedite, so that is what I am keeping it to for these purposes. TV Anime summaries The information may be well-written but this site has so many factual errors in the summary information. Here are some of the highlights. The local game centre guy is Motoki Furuhata *chuckles* as I see you've rectified later on in the summary. Eil is spelled Ail. This is to go with Ann, as the intention was to be a play on words to make 'Alien', thus showing that they weren't actually human. The Ayakashi Sisters are NOT called the four fake sisters. Rubeous is spelled Rubeus, to go with the theme of gemstones (ie Ruby). Esmerod is spelled Esmeraude. Saphir is spelled Safir. Pharoh is spelled Pharaoh (just like in Egypt) and no, he never took over Professor Tomoe's body, he was the entity that Mistress 9 was summoning at the end, and why she needed the energy of the Holy Grail. Professor Tomoe had a daimon in him, Germatoid, the leader of all the daimon. I don't believe it mentions at all where they come from so I don't know where this 'Tau-sei' planet stuff has come from. It isn't listed in any of the main SM encyclopedic sites that I know about. The Death Busters don't exactly attack them without reason - they're looking for the Talisman items that the 3 older senshi hold - the mirror, the sword and the garnet orb, in order to form the Holy Grail chalice to get the energy to summon Pharaoh 90. I've never heard the bit about the rainforest origins of the Amazoness Quartet, and again, none of the sources I have mention this, so I can only assume that it's completely false as well. I am going to finish off this review with a bit of a rant. I'm a bit tired of seeing perfectly good sites ruined by false information. You may think you're da bomb, but when you're perpetuating the same false information/rumours that you profess to dislike, then that makes you a hypocritical webmistress. Check your facts before posting them, as it just makes you look like a complete prat. There are sooooo many more factual errors on this site that it's almost pointless to continue with the review. Come back when you've checked your facts and verified your info. Just your say-so isn't enough for this reviewer, especially when I know otherwise. Even your so-called rumour page and explanations are so far off the mark as to be on Pluto, no, even better, the Tau-sei system you seem so fond of. I just wish I knew where you got the information and assumptions from, cuz I'd really love to have more than a few words. You just need to get your head out of your ass, off the net, and into your studies of the Sailor Moon universe, where it belongs. Sites like this should be made illegal, and those who perpetuate untruths in and about the SM universe should have their fingers chopped off with a rusty implement. |

Visual Content What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally? |
PtilolThis site demonstrates that simple is good. The images are not excessive, nor are they poor quiality. Chibi-usa in the corner adds just enough cuteness without requiring an insulin shot. The balloon character things behind the section titles draw the eye but don't obstruct what they are accenting. The colors also work well together. Medium-light blue on the side bar with white text for the links are gentle on the eyes, as is the simple arial font in black on white background. The categories are nicely divided into sections on the anime, manga, chatacters, and even some extra goodies. However, the site seems to be a work-in-progress. The last update seems to have been almost two years ago. Perhaps the creator got sidetracked? The guides to the senshi, enemies, and rest of the entire crew list all the names, but only some have actual profiles attached. The inner senshi along with Chibi-usa and chibichibi moon appear to be done. The outers are still just text. Same goes for the enemies and others. The "anime" section seems to be the most complete. There are details about the japanese voice actors, all the episodes (with the japanese names and what monster/enemy they fought), a list of all the movies, and even a synopsis of the storyline. The whole site seems to have been well researched in the areas that are complete. All that needs to be done is to finish the sections that are lacking. |

Overall How does the site flow, overall? What are the wholistic impressions the viewer gets from the site? |
EudialOk, this site hasnt truely updated in over 2 years. We'll see what we find. Ok, doing an overall review, just like the old days. Main page's layout is good, got a easy to see navigation on the left side. The nav is seperated into four sections; anime, chara, manga, and sweet. Lets take a dive in, shall we? Anime section...i have to give credit, this person filled in what the "Youma of the Day" was in most of the 200 episodes. Thats just..wow. Movies and specials doesnt have anything currently, and TV anime summary is exactly what it sounds like. Im gonna stick my usual and say that I dont like it when ppl tell the whole story of an arc. Because, whats the point of seeing the whole series if someone just told u how it went. I am pleased to see a section dedicated to the voice actress' of the inner senshi. You dont see that on every site. Chara section...In senshi guide, and only some of the senshi are done. Though there are only a few done, its fairly detailed. Same with the enemy and others guide, some are done, and are fairly detailed. Not as much as senshi, but still noteworthy. The Sailor V section doesnt exist, and im curious bout this Parallel Sailor Moon thing. This must have eluded me all these years. I would buy it, but SOMEONE just described the whole thing to me. :-P The Manga section...We got a description of the creator, Takeuchi Naoko-sama. There is also a guide to the manga, but its not done. Naturally, it tells me more then i wanna know. The Sailor V manga is just the titles, no biggie there. Sweets...got some RPG stuff like the Sailor Moon game and the gifs used. SM insight is like a timeline thingy. The rumor section kinda just made me laugh. Ok, all and all, nice site. It would pwn my soul if it was updated and completed. This person did a good job in my opinion. |
