Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

Ptilol

When I first came to this site, I was impressed with the layout.
It has a fairly good quality image of Sailormoon on the left, and an Iframe on the right, with the menu underneath it.
I'm not sure I like that the subsection links are little "#"'s, but at least that remains uniform throughout the site.

I checked the site at 800X600 and the site is not optimized for that resolution. That's the only foreseeable problem.

Well done!

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

Ptilol

So, here I am starring at Sailor Moon Experience with the daunting task of having to review the written content. I can say I'm overwhelmed and a little scared.

Let me say that there's so much content!

For a site that focuses on the North American Dub, I found surprisingly little "mixing" of sub/dub. One that made me twiggle however was "Biruet".

Oh wait. "Besu Besu" and "Cele Cele" were "Ves Ves" and "Cere Cere" in the dub respectively.

Nephlyte is misspelled. In the rants section she 'defends' her dub spelling with "Unless there is some given proof that there is one correct way to spell it, don't start harassing me about it! If you don't like it, then leave my site, plain and simple.". Okay. Just a little harsh there, yes? Call me wacky, but wouldn't DIC's official page on Sailor Moon (Which is probably lost to the ages of the Internet now) be 'proof'? How bout this: How bout I call ALL of Sailor Moon Sailor Moon. That's it. No R, No S, No SuperS. They're all Sailor Moon, right? Or how bout this: How bout I call the web mistress "Kristina" instead of Christina, as she says her name is. Same thing, right?

Soapbox aside, I actually really enjoyed this site. Good job, Kristine!

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

Eudial

Alrightty, Eudial here, hoping to see if this a decent site. I am in charge of media this time around so here we go. Now, I am going to be looking for broken images, any form of entertainment, and how well organized the galleries are.

Hmmm, Ok, where it says you click here if you agree to her terms, it sends me back to the main page. How strange. Luckily, there is a link in her rules so I am able to access her galleries. Otherwise, this review would have been really bad. I will say, though there are many galleries here that are incomplete, the ones that are complete are nicely arranged and there are no broken images.

The one thing I dont like about these galleries is that this person screenshot whole episodes, which I think is rather extreme and crazy. I'd suggest taking some snippets of episodes rather then the whole episode. Most of them are not done, and I understand why. Just stick to a few important screenshots, thats really all you need.

Alright, moving on to other forms of media. We got MIDIs, Mp3s, and downloads. w00t. Ok, there are an insane amount of MIDIs on this site. And when I say insane, i mean INSANE. And yet, only two Mp3s. Thats kind of interesting. There are also a decent amount of downloads on this site. Very nice indeed.

Ok, thats pretty much it. I say, in regards to media, this site isnt bad at all.
