Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

Let me say, it took way too long to get this review done. The dang site refused to open for me these past two days. >.< Argh! Anywho, layout.

Nicely done splash page. Everything is in order and the color isnt bad either. Ok, moving on... WOW! Happy massively amount of pink! lol. On first glance, this site looks decent in the layout department. THe update section is to the left of the page, and the navigation is on the right side.

Alright, the navigation is seperated into multiple sections; guild related, interactive, For You, Graphics, Layouts, BSSM, Codename Wa Sailor V, PGSM, Sailor Moon, Members Corner. Ya know, just from all the sections, this site looks like its got a lot to it. Sadly, im not in charge of written or visual this time around, soooo i can comment on it >.<

Ok, well, the layout iteself is uniformed and doesnt change during the entire site, which is definite plus. Majority of the site works, its just that some sections have broken links and some parts (Codename Wa Sailor V) isn't completed yet. >.> Meh...

Ok, all and all, layout is fine. The other catagories will have determine the fate of this site.

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

Viluy

First off, one of the subcategory names is incorrectly spelled, 'collauges' should be 'collages' and 'quizes' should be 'quizzes'. There are the odd spelling mistakes here and there, which I believe were made as the webmistress sounds very young and inexperienced. She herself admits she's not very good at the writing bit *smiles and pats*. That's how we get better though, by trying to do the best we can, and improving when people point out the little things. All in all, the spelling on this site isn't too terribly bad, given some of the ones we've come across in the past.

Things like 'join' instead of 'joining', using 'a' instead of 'an', some of the attacks being misspelled (check up The Oracle for proper attack spellings), and that sort of thing need to be worked on. It's pretty minor stuff and doesn't seem to detract from the site much apart from a misspelled file name ('campain' should be 'campaign'). The chat-speak style of writing in the history needs to be changed. It's very hard to understand if you're not into that sort of thing. That being said, there isn't too much writing at all on the site to really review.

One thing to work on is the size of the font used in the layout - it's too small for proper viewing. I have to get right up close to be able to read it. Plus the colour is too pale against a white background. I am not sure what background is supposed to be here, but there isn't one at the moment (maybe needing to work on server settings?) so it shows up as plain white.

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

Oh, what a pretty layout! And she linked my site, too! I like this already. :) Alright, alright, let's get down to my actual review... I'll do this section-by-section.

For You:
ooooh, nice selection of .ogg files. It's nice to see so many in one place! Moving on... the episodes section is password protected, and you must be a member of the neopets group to get it. That's awfully exclusive... why even make the link available to everyone, if only certain people are allowed to download episodes? I can understand having a password to protect your bandwidth (I even have one for my episodes!), but it really should be made available to the general public to request. I like the dolls, and this site has some pretty unique things, like t-shirt transfers and stationary.

Graphics:
This site has a nice selection of well-made graphics, but I feel there could be more in each section. For example, there is only ONE 50x50 avatar. Why even make a page if you're only going to put one thing on there? There are a few nitpicky things about the graphics here... some of the Live Journal icons are impossible to read, and the word "then" is used instead of "than" on one of the hiatus signs. Overall, I'm thinking that this section just needs more stuff. The graphics section seems to be a major component of this site, but there isn't enough here to satisfy me!

Layouts:
Most of these look really pretty! Most of them are for Neopets, though. This person is clearly good at making layouts, so I feel she should apply that to making more layouts for general pages as well. Also, the fact that the images are not downloadable, but a code is given for the layouts INCLUDING links to the images promotes direct-linking, which is bad. You'll regret that later in life.

BSSM:
Some pictures are shown on the first page of the gallery, while there are links to other pages (like the page with just images of Usagi). Why? That's just doesn't make much sense, and will probably confuse some visitors. Most of the images in this gallery are either bad quality, or they're very small. Or both. There is a pretty decent number of pictures, but I think there could be more, espcially since this site is lacking in a few other areas as well...

Codename wa Sailor V:
Ugh, I hate it when people link to pages that don't exist, or have NOTHING on them. Like the gallery page in this section.

PGSM:
In the gallery section, there is a link to the Sailor Moon pictures on a separate page, yet the Venus pictures appear on the first page. Why? That's just confusing, and really weird. Also, the first Sailor Venus image doesn't work. A lot of the pictures in this section are very tiny and/or bad quality...

I think this site definitely needs more. The content seems to be very spread out, and no one section stands above the rest as having more content than other sections. It's good to have a large variety of things, but at least one section needs to really stand above the rest. Make sure to spend a lot of time building up at least ONE part of your site, so that things don't look so sparse.

Overall

How does the site flow, overall? What are the wholistic impressions the viewer gets from the site?

Ptilol

Ooooh... pretty. There is lots here to look over. I almost don't know where to start.

The layout is very nicely done. I don't normally care for eccessive pink, but I'll let it slide this time. The text is a touch to small. I almost have to squint or get out the magnifying glass to read some of it. There's also a big empty space on the right side even when I have IE fullscreened.

There's tons of goodies here too. A couple wallpapers, some other images and things such as AIM icons, dolls, adoptables, etc. I must admit, the dollmaker bit is very cute. I had fun playing with it. *innocent grin* I had to make a Pluto one. There are quite a few music downloads as well. Unfortunately, the episode download section is being worked on.

There are some other tidbits relating to the Webperson's Sailor Moon related Neopets guild. It's the usual stuff. Guild members, stats, etc. Not important really for this review, but I had to look.

Overall, I really like this site. There is so much here that there is something for everyone. Webperson, you have earned two boxes of Kudo's.
