My first impression of this site is that it is VERY green. Whereas some colors of green are nice, I don't care for this one as it is almost on the too bright side of green. The images of Jupiter are blended well for the most part, but what is the huge blob of color behind manga Jupiter? Why are the swirls there? They completely detract from the beauty. Also I would have prefered to see Super Jupiter on the right to be blended a bit better as even though some blending is added she looks chopped off at the top of the head and on the right side.

I have to admit one of the nifty features of this site is the ability to change the look of your site by choosing a different skin. Whereas those skins are there, I feel that some of them could use some help. The blocky texture of Hotaru doesn't really look that great. The formal inners is nice but once again we have the cut off look on the right, and this time it is swirls. The red one is the easiest for me to tolerate, but the image is badly blended and the upper right still has the cut off look. You might want to blend this a bit better.

I'm glad to see that "updates" are rather current, but there isn't much of an update other then "award winners".

I am at "Info" now and I a bit bothered. Every time I click on a link the whole page reloads and I have to once again scroll down. This is bothersome to say the least. I like that this person has tried to do a monochrome effect for the image of the character for each profile, but the image itself suffers in the fact that you can see where it was chopped together. It gives a complete amateur feel. Also the "Info" isn't anything to drool over as it is the standard dollbox stats.

The image gallery is a bit annoying. I HATE cropped thumbnails. Whereas these are all the same size, I don't like images that are just a snippit of the picture. I would rather see all whacked looking squished images then this. However this is a personal opinion and I am glad to say that for the most part, these images are decent quality.

The graphics section leaves a lot to be desired. The layouts are less then stellar and the wallpapers and banners aren't any better. The buttons are alright, as are the avatars, but that is about it. I expected more from someboyd who has SOME idea of how to do a layout. Oh well, maybe I am easily disappointed.

Oh look, how cute! They are offering reviews as well! WHY?! This is an SM site, not a review site. Stick with one theme, it will get you farther. However I am taking a pause here to rant.

I am not sure how accurate what I am about to say is, but hear me out. Why does it seem that after we started our site a LOT of sites seem to be reviewing sites?! Maybe they were reviewing all along and I never saw this until we had so many sites on our list (I stick to the popular sites), but damn it seems like a lot of people are wanting to review for some reason. However most of them don't do an HONEST review so what is the point?

Now that I am done. I checked on their reviews and it does seem like they have been doing it for a while, but I still implore as to why? You have your standard SM site here and you throw this in that has nothing to do with it really.... Moving on.

The rest of this site is your typical SM site with the same materials that I can find on other sites. The contest is a dime a dozen. Multimedia, Fun Stuff, Awards, Site.... its all the same to me. However, why have the things that are listed in Site ALSO on the main list of links?

I'm outta here. This site doen't tickle me any way other then bland bland bland.

Sailor Palace (I try to lead off my reviews with the name of the site to make MS Word save the file with its default name. I'm way lazy.) gets off to a good start with a very nice monochrome Makoto/Jupiter picture (almost, there is one part with Makoto in full color, but you don't notice it really.); indeed the whole site is laid out in tones and shades of green. This is an unconventional tactic which works to great success here, although I could do without that seemingly ubiquitous swirly brush in the upper-left-hand corner. But if you really don't like it, there are three other board themes you can switch to, and that's virtually unheard of.

Unfortunately, the radical design and accommodating niceties stop at the layout, for in written content, it is a clone of so many of the slapped-together sites. Not only are senshi profiles here, but they actually call them senshi profiles! There goes my chance at trade marking the term. They are laden with inaccuracies, like calling Umino Umaro, which isn't close. This begs two questions: how can any fan of the show not remember Umino's name, and how hard is it to put on an episode and look? However, each profile has its own monochrome picture, and again these are done very well.

There's a decent size image gallery, or at least decent in its scope, as every senshi is represented with a few pics in both manga and anime. But once again, it's all cropped thumbnails. Did I miss the meeting where the lords of the Internet said, "OK, thumbnails are helpful and everyone likes them. What convention can we introduce to make them useless?"

There is here a review section, but unlike us it's only for sites that submit themselves. Most of the sites that are bad know it, I think, and don't want to be reviewed. To which we say TS. The reviews are. . . not bad. It's weird to review reviews.

So to really see if this site's got what it takes, I'm going to head to multimedia. It claims to have mp3s. If they're really there, then at least the author has some semblance of knowing how to run a site. And they are, but dub to original songs are here at an 11:3 ratio, which is way too high.

So in fact this is a fairly decent site. But it should aim higher and try to be a great site. Junk the rotisseried profiles and concentrate on graphic design, because that's the author's forte.

Layout-Wow I must say this is pretty good! The author took the time to do a site properly and for that I thank her for it! My only "problem" so far is the main image. On the right you can clearly see a border line next to Jupiter. I have the same problem so I won't deduct points for it. The links go where they need to and everything is the same color. Let's move on to the content of the site.

Content-Ok we have profiles, media, graphics, and images. I'm assuming that the graphics are the authors own or she is hosting others. Other things on the site are "normal" site information. I will now break down each of the above so you guys have a better understanding of what I'm looking at.

Profiles-These are pretty typical on *just* about every Sailor Moon site. The author does go into more detail then most. She put the general stats in a table and gives both Japanese and American Dub name. Underneath that she gives the Transformations and Attack names and then proceeds to give a short "biography" on Usagi and Sailor Moon. Like I mentioned, these profiles are a bit more detailed then some sites give. So not too bad. ^^

Media-This little section gives us mp3s, Lyrics, Midis and Animations (gif files). Again these are basic media but atleast this person has them all in the same place and not hosted on different geocities sites. So if you are really wanting some Anime songs then go here.

Graphics-So I was somewhat right. *heh* The author is offering layouts, wallpapers, buttons, banners...etc. The layouts are better then what I could ever make but I'm not sure if I'd ever use them personally. But kudos none the less. The wallpapers are ok but need some work. More feathering is needed. Banners and buttons are pretty cool. I love the Moon buttons....hehehehe...anywho, the graphics portion is something to look at maybe use on your site.

Images-Lastly we come to the images portion. The gallery has Anime and Manga images however the person doesn't state where she found them. She may have hunted them down but she did not scan them so proper credit should be given. I'll close that right there.

Overall OpinionSo the site does have some content worth viewing I just wish she put a credits page or something. That's the real downfall on this site. However, I will let you guys be the judge of that. Go view the site yourselves and decide if it's worth keeping online. ^_~

Alright, what do we got today. “Sailor Palace.” The background is a dark green, and this has a Sailor Jupiter theme to it currently. To the left are updates, and a fairly clear navigation system. There is a really nice option that allows u to change skins. :: clicks on Skin 1 b/c I like that the best:: Next on the list is a section that gives a fairly detailed summary of the Sailor Senshi, and a section that describes a bit of Season 1.

Im happy to see that the images are presented as thumbnails, and not giant pictures. (that annoys me to no end) And the graphics aren’t that bad either. The Multimedia section has a disclaimer on it (good move) and a decent amount of stuff to choose from. We also have a tagboard, and a message board is on its way. The “Memories” section is kinda perplexing. I’m assuming it was the webmistress’ old site, as it’s a geocities site.

After reviewing this site, I must tell the webmistress, Tiffany Truth, that she has done a pretty good job. Keep up the good work. I give it an 8/10.
