Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

This layout is absolutely gorgeous!! This is a simple iframe layout - nothing too fancy here. It works wonderfully in both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

Aesthetically, this layout is great. I usually don't like purple, but this a softer color which is great. No clashing colors, no busy backgrounds... everything is just clean and simple. The text at the top isn't too harsh; it just blends right in (in a good way!). I especially like the small images of Phobos and Deimos as crows at the top. One of my favorite things about this layout it the way the creator softened everything but Phobos and Deimos's faces on the side. It looks great, and keeps things from appearing too harsh.

Not only does this layout LOOK good, it's also organized well! I found the navigation menu with no problems at all, and everything is arranged into four simple sections. My only complaint here is that perhaps the "study" section should be broken up into sub-sections, because I didn't even know other stuff existed below "Anime vs Manga" until I scrolled down. Otherwise, things look great. The text colors match the layout AND are easy to read! I also like the way the background isn't just a solid color... it has tiny specks of color that make it look like a page out of the manga.

One of my favorite things about this site is the way the creator even went so far as to make the thumbnails in the image gallery match the layout. This person obviously put a lot of thought and hard work into this layout! Two thumbs up!

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

That is a very fascinating title, if I may say so. This appears to be a website about two characters that appeared during the Stars season, Phobos and Deimos. To be honest, I do not even recognize the names of these characters. However, I will do continue to forfill my role in the written section. Being that I do not know a lot about these characters, I cannot contradict any of the information provided. So, this is a warning to all.

After reading the first sentence in the story section, I know now who these characters are; they are crows that hover around Rei's temple. *feels like a fool* It seems that these characters have a lot more depth to them besides just being crows. In the manga, they take human form. I, personally, have not read all of the manga yet. Thus, this is news to me.

The story section gives descriptions of the crows' appearances in specific episodes. Also, they give the signifience of their appearance. There is also a brief paragraph on what makes these characters' different from the other animal guardians. (Luna, Artemis, etc)

The information on this site is kind of brief, but I suppose it comes with the territory. When one chooses to do a website dedicated to minor characters such as these, one won't find a wealth of knowledge in its content.

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

Alright it is rare that you see manga inspired layouts other than artbook based images, but this one not only is manga based but based on characters that you rarely see. It is the lovely sprites Phobos and Deimos. Crunchy Yummy Points to you Web Author!

Alright onto media as that is my section this week.

The media on this site is short and sweet. There are some images of the sprites as well as them in their crow form. All the image links work, and they are of really good quality for such a rarely seen duo.

This site wins my vote for simplicity at its best.
