Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

Eudial

Alrightty, Peppermint Storm is a Shitennou fansite. yay! We don't see many of these, and the few that i have witnessed have been quite terrible. However, I must say, I absolutely love the colors of blue that are on the main page. Its soooo pretty like. The layout itself is very clean cut and easy to navigate. The navigation bar, though small, is easy to find.

I'm thrilled to see that the pages' layouts are universal, and there are no differences whatsoever. Yay for being consistent.

I'm currently trying to find any bad things about this site. Its very hard to judge as this whole site seems rather nice. Ya know what, why am I even bother looking this hard for errors. if I'm looking this hard for them, then that says that this site has few, if any errors in its layout. A+ for u.

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

Viluy

Wow, there is so much content here it was hard to get through it all and frankly I could be here all night trying to pick at every little thing. So I'll just do the best I can.

I did get through the site and while doing so, I didn't notice any spelling errors! (YEAH!! KUDOS FOR YOU!) Everything seemed rather nicely laid out and put together.

However I do question some of the information, it seems the site owner may have pulled a lot of information out of thin air. Meaning alot of it was made up. I would have like to see some references to some of the information that was said. But most of the profile information was pretty good, so I can't complain there.

Fact is there is a LOT of information listed on this site, even though some of is seems interesting, some of it I believe is more of a "toss in for good looks" type thing. I

Now one of the sections that I do want to touch on is the Fun section. Here there is a link to where you can "Ask the Shitennou." Keeping in mind that this section is a "fun" section, I found this area to be rather amusing. Very much out of character for the Shitennou as far as the responses go, but amusing and cute all the same. So if you choose to check this area out, be sure to do so with an open mind, because you are bond to see that the responses are extreamly out of character for the Shitennou.

Other than that, all I can say is as far as written content goes, there is a LOT of it, but very nicely done. I didn't see or catch any grammer or spelling errors, which makes me happy! Some of the information can be very interesting like the minerals section of the site, listed under the "Information" section of the site.

This site is one that is worth the time to go through, but I advise breaking it down a little at a time. Or you may find yourself on overload with all the information that is listed there. As far as the written content goes, I feel this site was very well thought out.

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

Ptilol

*grins devilishly* I get to go over the media section today. This is going to be fun.

There are lots of things to look at here; Fan art, manga/art book scans, doujinshi images, and a bunch of graphics available for personal use. It's all nicely put together as well. Onward to the good bits.

Starting out with the fan art. All the images are arranged according to artist and presented in clickable thumbnails. Looking through some of them, I'm impressed. There are some really good ones. Some others are ok. Definately a section worth looking through.

The image gallery is pretty small. Only 14 images, but all of them work. The quality is also good. A couple are a little small however. Same goes for the doujinshi section.

Moving on to the downloads section, looking at the wallpapers first. *blinks* Wow.. they don't suck. Most of them are very well done and don't make me want to tear my eyes out. The avatars and icons section also has some good work. Some are animated, some arent. Several got a giggle out of me when I read them.

There is a lot of good stuff here to look over. *passes the webperson a box of kudo's* Great job on keeping me distracted while I was trying to write this. *wink*
