Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

Viluy

I got the layout this week and after going to this site and skippin around, well...it's ok. I don't think it's anything to be dropped jaw over, the links all work as far as I could tell. However there seems to be so MUCH on the pages, especially images, that it's tends to take to long to load, at which point it just stops in the middle of the load. Honestly, I really don't like this layout, it's way to bland and blah. I expected more or at least a bit better effort put into it, but over all the layout is...ok.

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

Hmm... there's something kind of... odd about the way this webmaster writes. I can't quite put my finger on it; maybe it's the misused words and punctuation. I don't know. It's not that it's horrible, it's just that something is a little bit off about it. Anyway, the first thing I've noticed here is that the webmaster has decided that this is an "official" site about ChibiUsa and Kousagi. I just don't think so.

Moving on to ChibiUsa's section, the first thing I see is a racial slur. I REALLY hate it when people say "Jap" as the abbreviation for "Japan." That is a derogatory racial slur, people. Please stop using it!! If you really must abbreviate the word (although I don't really see why; you'd just be adding two little letters if you didn't abbreviate), then use the standard JP or JPN abbreviations. Now, let's move on to some inaccuracies in the actual info:

  • ChibiUsa's blood type is O, not O-.
  • Her height is never officially given.
  • WTF is up with her "element" being candy and sweets? I don't think so.
  • Her strong point should be "coaxing," not "getting people to give her things."
Whew! So now I'll go over to the Kousagi section. I see a lot of question marks... apparently, this webmaster doesn't know any of Kousagi's stats (not that there are any, anyhow...), so she's just decided to BS it. It's pretty obnoxious if you ask me... "Strong Points: Looking Absolutly Adorable! Eating?" Oh my god. If you don't know, don't just make things up. And if you're listing STATS, which should be FACTS, try not to use the world "probably." Ugh. I don't think the writer knows very much about Parallel Sailor Moon. I advise looking it over and getting a clearere idea about some things, then going over the Kousagi section with a fine-toothed comb.

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

I got media this week on this site. Doesn't look like there's much here.

Off to the goodies section I go. For some reason, the owner chose to zip the files up without any thumbnails, so you don't really know what exactly it is that you're downloading. What's even weirder, is that I downloaded the ChibiMoon wallpapers... and there weren't any in the .zip. I'm kinda confused here.

The icons and wallpapers here are not exactly impressive. Futhermore, the phrasing of the icons blurb makes it seem as though the owner hasn't made any of them and is just reposting. I hope she has permission.

The gallery is neatly thumbnailed and laid out, but there is no distiction between fanart and scans/anime screencaps. Some of these are obviously not official art, but no one is creditted for them.

On to the manga scans. These are at least creditted, and they're all from another site that we thought was ugly. The scans are decent quality, but the typesetting could use a lot of work. However, that's not the webmistresses fault.

The media wouldn't be half bad if the owner would work on creditting things (credit yourself if you have to.)
