Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

Ok, The domain is Moonkitty.net, and I know my cats like boxes but....

Boxes! Lots of boxes. Technicoloured boxes. Boxes that sometimes cannot fit the text which rests on them. Boxes that sometimes clash with their link colour.

Well, at least they aren't moving randomly from site area to site area.

Goodbye, I got nothin'.

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

Eudial

Okay, Eudial here. So, this looks like a fansite dedicated to the entire show, as opposed to just a few characters. It looks like there is alot here, so I better get started.

Hmmm, prehaps I was wrong. I went to "Moonkitty Profiles, expecting to see all the character profiles. Instead, I see that this person is converting all their profiles into mini sites. Hmm, there's just one mini site up thats dedicated to "Parallel Sailormoon." This is in regards to the final artbook released. I have heard about this artbook and how..."interesting" it is. I'm gonna move onto episode guides.

Episode guides...there are guides to both the anime and the live action series. Dispite that the actual guide isn't written terribly, the issue is that there are so few of the episodes done. I won't hold it against them too much because everyone has busy schedules. But, its important to complete those.

By the way, its spelt Zoisite, not Zoicite. Alot of people get this wrong.

Ummm, I thought this was going to be a nice, long review. I was mistaken. Written wise, there's not alot here.

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

Cyprine

I'm on media this week, but unfortunately there's not much media here for me to review.

Music Download looks promising, so I'll try that first. Upon opening it, I'm disappointed. We have one .mp3 and the rest are .mid files. It's rarely even worth hosting midis anymore, because people can and will obtain high quality .mp3 or .ogg files elsewhere. While I respect the decision not to host MP3s for legal reasons, MIDI files aren't really legal either.

The next link is Sailor Luna Sprites. Guess what it contains? The sprites were modified from one of the fighting games, which is cool, I just wish there were a few more of them. Moving on...

Poking around a bit further, I found some .mov files of the toonami promos, commercials and such, but they were just mixed in with the rest of the text. I really wish the site owner would label video links as such so I know in advance to make sure my speakers aren't on top volume.

So, digging through the "Christmas Special" link (isn't it a bit later - or early - for this) I did find a desktop image.

Aside from that, we do have some illustrated episode guides, but they aren't even close to complete, and the images are just screencaps.

Considering that the site is designed to be more of a news aggragator than a traditional fansite, I'm not all that surprised by the lack of multimedia content. However, I can't help but feel a little disappointed.
