Links & Affiliation Do all the links work? Are affiliations clearly stated? Are self-promotion banners, buttons, and links easily visible? |
EudialAAAH! Its THIS website! I used to go to this site when i was starting cosplay. The reason is because of their "How to be Tuxedo Kamen" guide thing. lol But, thats another issue. To the review, shall we? Self-promotion: Well, i see one and ONLY one button on this page. No links to me, awards, nothing. errrr, right. They have the email of the webmaster in here, which is good, i guess. Site Information: There is none...I guess im supposed to "poke around" and see what i find. Now the links part!!! Dead Links on your site:
Dead Links to others' sites:
Affilation: What affliation?!? Ok, buddy, you need to work on this a little more. I mean, i know u haven't updated in 3 years, but cmon, work with me here. I will give u credit, however, at least most of your links work unlike other sites I've seen. Meh... |

Layout & Design Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing? |
MimetteThe first thing I saw when I entered this page was that the layout is very simple but very nicely arranged. Black background, red text and simple images that aren't badly placed, nor are they badly chopped or faded. Unfortunately, there is an image behind the main frame in this page and it really doesn't do well for the rest of the setup. The reason is that the image isn't faded enough to be part of a frame and not be intrusive to some degree. The white and red text in the frame tend to blend in with it and it doesn't make it easy to read. Really, there isn't much to say about this page's layout other than what I have just said, so I am passing you onto the next witch for something else. |

Written Content Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content? |
ViluyHome - Pretty standard home page, with the usual information about the site, and contact info for the webmaster. Info - The information is a lot more than most sites give, even if it's presented in much the same way. Guide to becoming... - This is highly entertaining and very well written. The only downside is the colour of the text of the actual guide, but I laughed so much reading this. I particularly liked the descriptions of Haruka's preferences (or in this case, lack thereof *grins*) and Hotaru's young age. I also liked the reference to the fact that poor Tuxie usually ends up in the dust with Sailor Moon saving HIS butt, rather than the other way around. Review summary - This site is very entertaining, even though there's really not much to it now. It looks like it used to have more content on it (although not of the written kind) which is a shame that it's not available any more. The guide to becoming Tuxedo Mask was very entertaining and it's something that I've not seen before. All in all, one of the better sites I've seen in a long time. |

Visual Content What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally? |
CyprineWhile this site seems to be a shrine to Mamoru, the amount of visual content is rather disappointing. The "Images of Mamo-chan" contains roughly 40 pictures at most, when images of Mamoru and his various incarnations are a dime a dozen. More importantly, the site uses descriptive text links for the gallery. Again, people, this is a no-no! The first image for example is "Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon about to kiss" -- but there are literally hundreds of images like this. Which image is it? I actually have to bother clicking on the link to find out which of those hundreds that image is. Again, please, create thumbnailed galleries; galleries set up like this are a pain to navigate and are basically a waste of my time. The text links are also white on a very unblurred and tiled background of manga Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion on a balcony. The links are white and the text is red, against a non-faded background image, so the text is harder to read than it needs to be. Also something that annoys me is that the gallery alternates between "Dubbie" and Japanese names: why are we talking about "Mamoru" and "Tuxedo Mask" and "Moonlight Knight" in the same breath? Either stick to Mamoru and call him Tuxedo Kamen and Tsukkikage no Knight, or switch to calling him Darien. You can't pick and choose what versions of the anime you're referring to. Images don't load in a new window, so I have to hit the back button to get back to the galleries, which is a pain. The very first image of the "Manga" subsection of the gallery refers to a manga image which actually doesn't have Mamoru or Tuxedo Kamen in it. Why is it here, in this gallery? In a gallery that is part of a shrine to Mamoru, there shouldn't be any images that don't include him. The rest of the site's visual content is supposedly off-site links to content from "The Tuxedo Mask Shrine", and lists Images, Sounds, and Videos as possible sub-sections. However, when I tried to access these pages, they were all broken. Either way, I would wonder if these sections are linked with permission... However, since I can't access them and I can't tell if it's legal claiming of that content, this site isn't getting any visual content points for anything other than the lame and pathetic gallery. |
