Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

Well, that's just really orange!! Wow. So, first of all, let's discuss colors. Orange is an ok color, but you have to know how to use it right, and I'm just not so sure it works here. ALSO, black backgrounds are SOOOO over. This layout seems pretty old, and it's definitely time for an update. Apparently, the last layout update was in 1999, and that shows.

I checked out the coding for this one, and it's pretty insane. How can anyone read this? I also checked out the site on Mozilla Firefox and found out that it totally didn't work. So all you Firefox fans out there are either going to have to crank up Internet Explorer OR just skip this site altogether. I hear that if you're on a Mac, there's no way you're going to be able to see this one, so good luck!

Now it's time to move off of the main page, and what do I find? Different layouts for each section. Oh no! That's usually a pretty big no-no! Eek! Code Blue!! Code Blue in the ER (Enervated Retinas)! Someone should alert this webmaster that bright blue does not work on a black background.

I'm pretty disappointed by the layout on this page. You know, even in 1999 (Yes, the Dark Ages of the Internet), people could come up with better layouts than this. It's not HORRIBLE, but it's definitely one big blah.

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

Oh, thats just shiny. There's no description on what the fansite is about except that its a "Metal Senshi fansite." I'm assuning this means its for the senshi in the Stars season? This site hasn't been updated since 2000, so I expect this site to be rather run down. We'll see how it holds up.

I'm jumping right to the information section because that counts the most for me as of now. The text is rather small.. like...6 font. >.< *puts on glasses* The information on Galaxia seems to be related to the anime more so then the its manga counterpart. Thats perfectly fine, just gotta make sure that all the characters say true to the anime.

Ok, at Siren Aluminum's page, the text goes back to 12. If the person decides to pick u pthis site again, they should fix the text on Galaxia and Iron Mouse because it was quite difficult to read.

After the anime characters, we have the manga characters; Tin Nyanko, Heavy Metal Papillon, Lethe and Mnemosyne, and Chi and Phi.All and all, there's not a whole lot of information about any of these characters except for their physical appearance, their attacks, and when they showed up in the series. I was looking mostly for what each character did or accomplished before they died, but I barely saw that. The most information was in Galaxia's page.

The "10 reasons why its good to be bad" section is kinda odd. Kinda stupid humor and not very funny things. However, "7. Villains never have daughters like Chibi Usa.-_-;;" I completely agree with this statement. *nod* The "Error of their Ways" section was rather amusing. I can relate with some of the things this person wrote down about "how a villian shouldnt be or do."

"Sitings" section is just odd and wrong. *walks away*

"Chaos rising" section: First off, this quote "I don't know exactly what happens in episode 200 of Sailor Moon, but I've seen pictures and got the general idea..." This is a HUGE red flag. Never write something unless you know what happens. Pictures and a "general idea" arent facts. If ur unsure, dont post at all. The writing is supposed to make it seem like ur sailor moon during the final battle with Galaxia. An interesting idea, but its kinda odd reading it from this perspective.

Ya, thats pretty much it. This site is...ok. Not the best, by far. If u get back to it, please fix it up a bit.

I would LOVE to review the media on this site, but the layout is literally not displaying properly and none of the links work for me either..... sorry guys, but it looks like I won't be able to contribute to this one.

Since Mimette had issues with this site, I'll be reviewing the visual content. Now that I've taken a break from today's previous eyeball burnin', I get to come back and squint all over again at that oh-so-refreshing bright blue text on a black background. Oh, the joys of reviewing webpages. o.o

The image gallery consists of text links to the different pictures. I'm not even going to bother trying to read them, because they're bright blue, and my eyes hurt! So I'm going to just randomly click away. Most of these images seem to have been stolen (the webmaster pretty much just comes out and says it at the top of the gallery page), so why couldn't she have stolen better images!? I mean, as long as you're stealing pics, at least make 'em good ones. Almost all the images from the anime are grainy and/or blurry and VERY tiny. The images from the manga aren't too bad, but for the most part, they're kinda small.

Aaaaaaaaaand... that's it. I know what you're thinking, because that's exactly what I was thinking: you call that multimedia?! Yep, that's all! Kind of depressing, you know? So I'm off to rest my weary little eyeballs now...
