Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

*squeals* A Pluto Shrine! *lurves Pluto*

*coughs* Sorry about that... onward to the real reason I'm here today, the layout.

The site just opens into the main page without a splash. The color choices are interesting to say the least. Lime green with a giant pinkish purple cirle offcenter that takes up a good portion. The main image (located near center of the page) is a manga style one of Setsuna half sitting on a chair.

The font used for the site title and section titles is one I've never seen before. It's hard to describe without seeing it. I'm not sure it fit well with the rest of the site, but at least it's consistant.

The layout remains the same on each page. Mostly lime green with two circles of pinkish purple (one on the top left, and one on the bottom left). The content is in black text so it's still easy to read.

I like the setup of this site. Everything is consistant and the navigation is wonderfully easy to work with. Maybe it's just because I'm so tired at the moment, but my eyes are starting to hurt and blur from staring at the green. So, I will stop here. *hands the webperson a Kudo's bar* Enjoy your snack.

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

The information section here is just your run-of-the mill info about Sailor Pluto. But unlike other sites, this webmaster has actually taken a great deal of time to write something detailed about Sailor Pluto. In my opinion, too few shrines take a moment to write about the character's personality. That's why I love the "two faces" section of this site. Reading over this information, I think a new fan can really come away with a good understanding of the character. The "popular girl" page in the "speculation" section only adds to this understanding... this webmaster has really done her homework!

I also enjoyed the "dream date" section, which discusses potential love matches for Setsuna. It was really entertaining, and I can tell that the webmaster spent a lot of time on this section. Another great section is "her tribute," where "Sailor Pluto" writes about various things. This was pretty unique, and tells a lot about the character.

Overall, I think this site is very well-written, and a lot of time has been spent on it.

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

The Multimedia section has sounds, KISS Dolls and a game it looks like. However the link for the DOOMed game with a senshi twist doesn't work, so it was hard for me to check it out.

The KISS Dolls, I've seen around before, these are old dolls that aren't anything really special, but fun all the same.

The sounds are just that, sounds of Pluto talking. One of her transformation phrase, another of her introduction and the final one on the list to hit is the sound of her attack Deadly Scream. However I couldn't not get that sound to work on my computer, it wouldn't open or download. On a side note, all the sounds are not in English, they are in Japanese.

The still shots are just graphics of Sailor Pluto, thumbnailed down and neatly laid out. So to get the bigger size, you will have to click on them. These images are easily found all over the web and I have not seen anything here out of the ordinary or new.

The Bargin basement has skins for your use on ICQ, Windows Desktop and WinAmp. Each skin has a sized down screencapture of what they look like. Very cute.

There is also a Fan art section listed here too! This can be found in the fan-mania section of the site. The drawings are nicely laid out with credit listed under the pictures.

All in all, the media looks good, nicely organized and laid out. Granted you can find some of this stuff through out the web just by doing a search, I still like the section. Plus it's always nice to see a site done on some of the less talked about characters!
