Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

Ptilol

Hello ladies and gents, it's me, Ptilol back again with another review for your literary pleasure. Today's adventure is: layout. Ready? Here we go!

The page opens up with a colored, manga styled image of Eternal Sailor Moon at the top. It's very pretty and easy on the eyes. The rest of the background is a gentle med/dark blue that matches well with the image. The site title is easy to read and nicely stylized as though it were from one of those old books that have the fancy capital letter on the first page of each chapter.

The navigation is a little trickier, however. The words used don't make it very clear which section is which. Dawn, Daylight, Twilight, Sunrise, and Sunset all lead to different areas filled with information.

Upon clicking on of the words, the page changes slightly. The same image as on the main page is used, but it's more of a full view of Usagi and the whole layout is set to the left side. The color scheme remains the same as well.

Overall, this setup doesn't make me want to tear my eyes out or run to the bathroom to puke. In fact, I could look at it for however long it would take to read everything listed here and still not have to get the Excedrin. Nicely done Webmistress, you get a box of Kudos.

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

Cyprine

Eternal Justice is a shrine to Usagi and her many incarnations from the BSSM manga. It's not organized in any particularly logical way (the problem with overly "clever" section names that stop having anything to do with the sections), so I just clicked through all of them in order to do this review of the written content.

Unfortunately, I'm not 100% familiar with the differences between BSSM manga and anime, so I'm not going to be able to nitpick this site. There are a few character name misspellings along the way (e.g. "Nephrenia"), that should be corrected.

As far as written content goes, this site has nothing spectacular. It's all textual, so one would expect the written portion to rock, and yet, I find nothing interesting, unusual, or thrilling about the content. Most of the textual "information" (found in "Sunlight" under "Glimpse" and "Offense") don't tell me much detail about the character, so I certainly could not use this site as an informational resource. I did like the "Moments" section because this is where the webmaster injects a bit of her own reasons for building an Usagi shrine.

I found the idea of Usagi drawing her power from the "fifth element, Akasha" to be as interesting as it is unfounded. There is no particular reference to Sailor Moon's "element", and I often wonder why fans feel the need to put BSSM characters into tight little boxes. Can't Sailor Moon not have an element?

The rest of the sections are pretty boring, without any new information nor any particularly new way to present it to catch my eye. The catchphrase for the site is "as unfamiliar as the same old thing...". Well, that last part is appropriate, anyways.

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

Mimette

This is by far the quickest media review I have ever done considering when I click on anything, nothing is there o_O; I have provided a screencapture so that you understand. And with that capture I leave you.

... Nothing!
