Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

Dear god this layout hurts. Very bright blue is the main color. The text/content areas are lavander with light blue text. There is also that really irritating geoshitties ad thingy on the side. *grumbles*

The layout changes for each page. Thankfully, they aren't nearly as blinding. They look ok (and I use the term lightly) compared to the main page. All of it looks very beginnerish. That's ok, but even geoshitties has some room for a decent layout.

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

Wow, this layout needs some help! But since that's not my area today, I won't discuss it ^^;

So I'm going to go straight to the "Background on Sailor Mercury" page. I'm pretty disappointed in the lack of content here. Isn't this page supposed to be all about Sailor Mercury? I think this needs a little more than some stats. Where's the effort? If you like Sailor Mercury so much, you should have no problem writing about her! But I've seen pages that aren't even focused on Sailor Mercury that have more info than this. Tsk, tsk.

This page has no content, and that's definitely not good. But of course there's a guestbook, chat room, email addresses, links, awards... all the typical site stuff, without the site!!

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

Media this week, but this week is pretty easy. There's not much in the way of media here really. There is a gallery, a place to get your own mercury email account, a chat, awards, adoption and fanart. However some of these links don't work. The links that don't work are: Fanarts and Adoptions. Broken links...oi.

The other links work, with a few minor things. The Gallery is pretty small and all the pics on there are made into thumbnails and placed on the page. Honestly it looks like someone just slapped them on there. I think it could look a little more neat in the set up. There are also a couple of "animated gif's" on there as well, but these aren't anything special really. Because like the graphics, I've seen these animated gif's around the net.

The next place to check out is the Mercury Email. Wow...well um...not sure what to say about that, but I think alot of people have done this... *****@somesenshi.com. My only beef here is that two of the images aren't working here and why would someone want such a long email address? Sure it's for fun, but...eh...well...I really am not that impressed with this section.

Next thing on the list are the "Win My Awards" section, cute at least. Though the awards are....well...one of them looks like the words are coming right out of Ami's mouth....or is it that it looks like she's eating them? I can't tell! I love site awards, but if your going to give out awards, than try and make them look some what nice. Put some effort into them! If people put time in their site and you offer this section, you should at least take the time to make them. And not make them look like you just slapped words on a graphic.

The Chat section, takes you to another page, but the links there don't really work! I thought you are supposed to be able to join in on a chat? Well not here, you get an invalid pop up box for one link and just a general Bravenet web page.

Honestly, I'm not to impressed with this site's media. It's ok, but not really anything that makes me go wow or even impresses me.
