Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

You know, I like this site, but the layout has got to go! There's nothing about the layout that really catches the eye... it's very outdated and, well, boring. Single banner at the top... outdated frames... dark background with white text... and what's up with the hot pink links? They don't really match. Anyway, I think it's time for this site to get a layout upgrade. Lots of sites give away free layouts, AND you could even ask someone to make one for you!

Layouts aren't the most important part of having a good site, but they really are a BIG part. There's a lot of good stuff here... I'd hate to see visitors be turned away by the layout before they check everything out.

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

Oh goody! Written! I click on "Bios" and I am greeted with three broken images.... we are off to a LOVELY start here....

The dollbox stats are exactly what I expected and got. The comments that are supposedly from the other characters are at the bottom and they aren't really all that amusing although they author tried (too much) to make them as such.

The Fanmail is interesting, but I gotta admit that it is extremely cheesy.... I won't be reading through this dribble.

Wow the "translations" look like they were directly ripped from AnimeLyrics.com That is severely uncool, and sofar, nothing here shows any credit of this direct theft.

Its nice that you set up a "dedication" page to Niiyama Shiho, but I would think that you could at least get some better cutup gifs for this page. It is almost insulting how pathetic this little dedication page looks.

Oh this is just the icing on the cake though. There is a "sour notes" section. And as they put it, I quote "This section is Chasin's version of a "Hall of Shame". It's for people who steal bandwidth, images, or content."

Almost everything on this page is ganked from somewhere else on the interweb. Way to be a complete and utter fucking hypocrite. You don't belong in anything above the bad column for that one.

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

Well, this site is certainly not suffering from a shortage of images! The gallery is huge and impressive! I really like that the owner has scanned in doujinshi. There is also a ton of fanart on this site, so if that's your thing, you're in for a treat! There are also song downloads here... what more could I ask for?

There's an awesome amount of media here for a shrine. I can see that a lot of hard work has gone into this page! In the future, I'd like to see some video clips here, or even more doujishi and manga images. You can never have too much multimedia (well, unless you don't have much bandwidth...)
