Layout & Design

Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

Eudial

...oh gosh...these colors are horrible....why on earth were they picked?!? Its like ummm, two extremely light pigments of blue. Definitely not the best to use on a PC screen. So, the whole bit is centered, which is good, but I had trouble finding the navigation. The reason is because its behind the geocities advertisements So, you may want to change this as I was confused and frustated for a few seconds.

Sooooo, im not sure why but the first two links dont work for me. Like, I get the splash page, but after that, it is a big lod of blank on my screen. For the third, I get the main page, but nothing in it.

Ummmm, there REALLY isnt a lot to this site at all for me to review. As far as the actual layout goes, you fail.

Written Content

Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content?

I've got four words for you..."Spell Check" and "Grammar Check." Learn these words and use them people! It's not hard to find them in your word programs! Almost every program has them and if it doesn't than you have no business using it! No I'm not perfect at spelling and grammar, but I do check my stuff! And I really hate it when people don't check theirs!

I say this because, aside from the fact that there really isn't much in the way of content to review, the spelling and grammar sucks. Simple as that, it sucks. When simple words like "the" and "your" is misspelled, that shows that you are just being lazy! I know for a fact that any good word program will pick those up! So may I suggest that you USE THEM! Also may I suggest that when posting anything at all, that you proof read your stuff at least twice and out loud! You can catch more mistakes that way. If your still stuck, then have someone else proof read it! Granted the spell and grammar check on Word won't catch everything and it tends to read what you put wrong sometimes, but for the most part it will catch simple mistakes.

My next beef is the fanfic section, if you're going to host fanfics, than spell/grammar check should be a rule of yours. Fact is, when someone submits something that is filled with spelling and grammar errors, it looks bad on you and them. So these things should be a rule of thumb, period.

My next problem is the actual fan fiction listed. Now before I get into the issue here, let's take a look at what Dictionary.com says a fan fiction is, shall we?

    Main Entry: Fan Fiction
    Part of Speech: Noun
Definition: a fictional account written by a fan or a show, movie, book, or video game to explore themes and ideas that will not or cannot be explored via the originating medium, also written fan fiction, also called fanfic
Ok now that you have the proper definition, allow me to state that typed out versions of the movie and character sketches do not count as a fanfic! Why? Because simply put, the typed out version for the movie isn't a fictional account. Sailor Moon R Movie was a published movie, you can't write something that's already been written! Now posting it in another section will do just fine! But seriously it's not a fanfic and therefore doesn't belong in the fanfic section!

Next is that Character Sketch, that actually just looks like notes someone has done, again it doesn't belong there! Fanfics are stories and writings as a whole that you write based on the movie, characters, show, book, etc. So please try and keep that straight!

Other than that, there really wasn't much to review. There were no profiles or other information regarding the character or show. So I was stuck reviewing what there was and may I say...I wasn't impressed. Granted some of the fanfics look really good and I started reading some of them, but the main issues here are the spelling, grammar, and what really belongs in the fanfic section. The site could use some information on the characters, profiles, stats and anything else about the show and/or the character(s).

So that's it, not impressed. Remember, spell check and grammar check! It's there for a reason people! USE IT! And please, please PLEASE keep fanfic sections for just that...Fan Fictions!

Visual Content

What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally?

Ptilol

*searches for some media to look through*

*grumbles about popups*

*finds a bunch of broken links*

There seems to be some fanart and fanfiction here. I guess I'll start there. Many new windows later, I am finally able to attempt to read over some of it. Writing a full synopsis/plot description of the Sailor Moon R movie, is NOT fanfiction. Most of the other stuff is hard to read due to very poor grammer.

The fanart isn't much better. The first section of it looks like the "artist" traced over the images and them colored them in with colored pencils. The coloring job looks nice, but the drawings themselves are too perfect. The other "artist's" works are clearly not traced and look pretty decent. My only gripe, the thumbnails open into either the frame or they end up on a new window. Pick one please.

That was all the media I was able to find. Most of the other pages either a. didn't work or b. had very messed up coding to the point where it was unreadable.

My 9 year old cousin could do better than this mess.
