Layout-a simple layout that's pretty easy to navigate. Nothing on the layout blinds me or makes me want to hit the red x on my browser. I think the only real complaint I have is that the Menu seems to scrunched together. Maybe the author could of made the menu slightly more in the middle with "Navigation" or something up top. That's just a personal prefence of mine tho.

Background/Text-Everything is consitent and nothing blinds me. The text is your basic black and easy to read. I don't see anything that could be improved in this catagory.

Content-Tons of content! Ranging from images to media! What's nice is that the author took the time to go into a lof of detail for EACH subcatagory. And each catagory is filled with either scans or information or both. A good place for those who are looking for either.

On a personal note I really enjoy the minor stuff the author has done-'Apperances' for one. The author has found (either commercial or movie) some of the actors have been in and took screencaptures of it. There's also downloads of the commercials/PVs that are hard to find. I would just like to say thank you! So, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Now back to your regular scheduled review! :P

Overall Opinion-Very detailed site that's easy to navigate. Nothing blinds me and I don't see anything that needs changing other then the menu-like I said it's just a personal thing. Maybe have the menu more down with "Navigation" on top of it. Other then that I have no complaints. Kudos to the author!!

I would like to start with giving the site props for wonderful content but the design for the site is awfully simple and bland. Everything except of course the site original site http://smashedice.com/ and the contact page. The menu is ridiculously long and should have its sections grouped together to make the menu shorter. Credit is given where it is due it seems plus plus very good. It seems all the information is well put together with good grammar and punctuation.

Although the site is overall great in content and media it is very bland the site's design needs a little oomph! And that's pretty much it as far as improvement for this site.

Alrighty, I have viewed this site before, so I know a bit of it. I have always had a bit of a problem with one thing of the layout of this site. That the top image is just a tad TOO close to the top of my browser and the same for the navigation bar. Other then that, this layout is clean and easy to navigate, so I am moving on to the content.

The content is fairly well laid out. The categories are well organized and easily viewed. There is a LOT of information here, so if you are looking for a specific fact I would suggest this page to you immediately. However, as I clicked the "Summaries" link, I found myself dissappointed. The web author stopped at Act 2. I had hoped to see more of these, but I am sure they will come in time.

The romance column bothers me a bit. The only visible romance in the series is Usagi and Mamoru. I know that it was SUGGESTED about Ami and Nephrite, but this is listed here and it was not followed through with in the series and I do not consider it a romance. It was more of a fanbased dream of a romance, and I don't feel it belongs here. This is a personal opinion though. Some people actually consider them a couple, so I will just leave this alone as to any further opinions of it.

I have to say that I like the way the attacks page is laid out. It is very well set up, but I would have liked to have the names of the characters and attacks/items in bold so that they stand out. It doesn't detract from it, it would have just made it a bit more apparent to those that are less inclined to be a bit more intelligent.

The Oops section is rather amusing. I caught some of these myself but I am glad to see them laid out on a site so nicely. It gave me a bit of an amusement. Thank you for this.

What else can I say? This site is bursting with content. I would recommend it to any PGSM fan. Now get over there and have a look at it yourself!

PGSM certainly brought a new generation of fans into being, and with them a new generation of webpages. But today there are different standards for what constitutes a good page. Smashed Ice's PGSM page might be impressive in its scope of graphics, but there are too many to actually be of use. Most of the graphics, like the screencaps, follow on each other that you're not saving that much bandwith or time as opposed to just getting the videos from which the pictures came.

The layout for this site is simple, almost too much so. A long list of categories is on the right in simple text, and they appear below the splash image. The one problem is that it really doesn't work in Opera. There, the menu is on the left, and covers the top part of the text. There's no way to move it, or to read the parts that are covered. That should be fixed of course, but really the whole thing needs to be jazzed up a bit. A mild pattern to the background would add some much-needed spice.

While this layout would seem to lend itself to easy navigation, you'll probably have some trouble finding a specific graphic or point of interest in all the subsets. Plus as you go to some pages the menu links to other pages appear or disappear. Good luck getting to the page about Motoki's actor's cameo in Battle Royale II (a truly awful movie, by the way).

In fairness, there are a few written pieces among the graphic-heaviness. I like the "Oops" section, even if some of the goofs are a bit of a stretch. If the site would separate out the nice bits and just put all the galleries under one heading, I'd probably be able to get deeper into that kind of thing, but most, like the analysis of the "The Making Of" are just a ton of pictures that weigh down your bandwidth.

So for the makers of this site, I'd consider addition by subtraction. One movie clip would be worth ten of these picture pages. But don't necessarily pass Smashed Ice up. Just have a broadband connection. And check out the general anime page if you're not completely happy with their PGSM page.
