Layout & Design Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing? |
MimetteOk, what does "SSP" stand for? Last I checked, I use that to refer to "The Sailor Senshi Page" which is NOT this site. Even worse is that there is a splash image, but the information letting me know what I need to view the site is aligned to the left as opposed to centered under the image... why? Ok, I finally learned what "SSP" stands for on THIS page, and that is Setsuna's Senshi Page. The layout can't get simpler. There is what appears to be a fanart image of Moon on the right and a pink box. White background and bright pink links. It all matches but it looks like bubblegum got wrapped around the page. This layout is just TOO simple, and why is there a horizontal scroll on the iframe? Can I get a headdesk anybody? I'm closing my browser now and going to a much better site... I think I will start with the REAL "SSP". |

Written Content Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content? |
EudialEudial couldn't access this page's content. He tried frequently and fruitlessly. For that reason, and that reason alone, this page gets the worst review for written content imaginable. |

Visual Content What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally? |
CyprineSetsuna's Senshi Page links to an off-site page called Senshi Image Factory. I hope this is owned by the same webmaster, who is linked as Setsuna in the Image Factory blurb. Unfortunately, the site loads in the Setsuna's Senshi Page tiny iframe, which is usually a bad idea, especially because there's some horizontal scrolling going on. Also, the Image Factory has a completely different layout and even its own header banner, which interrupts the design flow of the SSP site. The site contains thumbnailed galleries organized according to character (although not every character has a gallery online), but the galleries are pseudo-thumbnailed. The galleries load the actual images, only resized to fit a thumbnail sizing, which kind of defeats the whole point. Many of the galleries aren't up, and the galleries that are up aren't very extensive. The site also offers adoptions, which is hosted on another Geocities account. They aren't all BSSM and many of them aren't even good sizes for adopting. Overall, this site's Media content needs serious work. |
