SaturnOk, the page is making me sick upon first viewing it... this does NOT bode well... The fact that I am on a cable connection and it took forever to load doesn't bode well either... thankfully I am sure that more then one dialup user will read our review and never view this page if they plan to keep their sanity. This is a basic frame setup with a top frame and a bottom frame but it was obviously not well though out when making it. It is a mess to put it nicely. Plus as SOME animation can be nice sometimes, this page has taken it OVER the line... by about a good football field.... This is my personal statement to the web author..."WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING WHEN YOU MADE THIS ABOMINATION?!" Ahem, now that that is out... I have to say this to the rest of you. I thought Cindra's site was the most awful, but this by far has beaten it with the opening page. Never have I gotta motion sickness from viewing a website... until today... Please people, do NOT use animations like this on a site ever... and for those that want to spare their stomach... it means don't put one every inch on the page and wonder why your page is in the Ugly column. Another thing that bothers me is that there are links EVERYWHERE. They are on the top of the page, down the left AND right sides, along the bottom... I can't read most of the text, so control+A will have to work today.... *starts grumbling about needing pepto soon* On top of all of this, there is an iframe in the middle of the page that has two borders on it that are rainbow lines that are animated.... it is distracting to say the least and it doesn't make me want to read what is in the frame... except their first lines that read: WAAAAAHHHHH!!! We're alive! But just barely... Guys, we have been SOOOOOOOOOOOOO busy this past month, but fret not! It is not in vain! We are now becoming webmasters in our little town o' Texas by doing websites for locally-owned personal businesses! You should NOT be alive after making this thing, and in fact somebody needs to show up at your door with a hatchett and a hockey mask. Secondly, I feel for the people in Texas that these people are doing "design" for. Especially if this is the ONLY example of web design that you have. Alright, on to the content. I don't really know what links to click as they are everywhere, so I am going to concentrate on the top frame links as they are the most easily seen, and I might come back to the ones on the lower frame, so be patient guys, this is going to take a while. Whatever you do, do NOT hold you mouse cursor over the link buttons on the top frame... you will immediately be struck with an epileptic seizure and start foaming at the mouth... They flash different pictures.... My head is starting to hurt now and that doesn't bode well for me and the rest of this review, but I strive on for your entertainment. Uhm, I clicked on "Earth's Matrix Page" and frankly, I think the Matrix was less confusing then this page. What exactly is here? I don't really see anything except captures from the SM video games.... and none are clickable for links or such, just a bunch of pictures and really no information other then "See something you like? Request it!"....I don't understand what I would see, so please enlighten me if you figure it out. Next seizure button is "Matrix Page 2".... maybe if they had used the first page a bit better there would be no need for a page 2... but I will go there as it is my job... Well I figured out what the first page was by going to the second. It seems that they are offering copies of the games.... which is illegal... seems that when I am done with this review I will have to inform a host of what is going on as well.... damn.... I figured we could at least laugh at this site, but looks now like it will go bye bye. OH DEAR GOD! If you wish to keep your eye sight (really people, I am NOT kidding here), then do NOT visit "Jupiter's Music". This could have been done better and frankly this shade of green looks like something from a baby diaper... It brandishes the "Under Construction" bit, so I am moving on quickly. Oh man.... please people... no cheesy animation for page transitions please?! "Mars' Gossip" started with cheesy block animation.... mmm taste the cheddar.... Even more cheese on the flame animations and the repeating Mars pictures down the left side. This looks like they tried to do a bit of a glorified message board.... which is sad considering there are so many free services out there for forums these days that they could have done MUCH better then this.... Hey, can I borrow the flame to seal my eyelids shut with? Mercury's Links is literaly making me nauseous..... The background is animated and is slowly moving downward and glitches back to the top periodically.... frankly it is making me so sick that I am closing this without going any further on this link. There is one thing I saw on it before I closed it that made me laugh. They have a link to Cindra's abomination on there. I find this amusing and have to wonder if they took tips on web design from her... or did she teach them to use frontpage *laughs half to death* OOOOOO The RPG... GODDAMMIT!!! ANIMATION THAT BLINDED ME!!! Moving on! Hey, wait, is that my Sailor Venus screen capture?! Looks a lot like it, but they could have swiped it from any other site as well... Bleh... must move on before I puke....or match the color of this obnoxiousness... but explain to me first why the bottom horizontal scrollbar is moving on its own.... Ok, so I am back to the main page and I have taken the liberty of making a screen capture of what this looks like in 1600x1200 resolution for you.... continuing the black would have been a plus, but this person obviously prefers grey.... You decided Ok, I regret seeing the links that were in the main frame on the front page... I don't suggest that anybody make their brain hurt anymore with this site. Overall... well I didn't think a site could ever beat Cindra, but it has happened. If you want to keep your stomach in check, do NOT view this site... for me? I am off to the bathroom to jam my finger down my throat to stop the nausea... But before I go, you can bet I am going to sign the guestbook XD |

UranusA review before the review, based entirely on prejudice: I don't like this URL, senshisrus.net. Firstly because the "r us" has been done to death and should be reserved for Toys R Us, secondly because it's grammatically incorrect (It should be Toys Are We), and third because it uses the English plural construct -s on a Japanese word, senshi. Now on first load, I feared for the fate of this review, because Opera pulled up all of the data and then showed. . . a white screen. What I originally thought a glitch is I believe simple discriminating taste-such a fine browser refuses to soil its screen with this cybernetic suppository. Fortunately for my readers, Internet Explorer is much more promiscuous. Sometimes a site will go to an entirely new layout, trying to improve on itself. We've done it ourselves. What this site appears to have done several times was slap a new layout on top of their old layout. That's the only way I can explain the clash of styles throughout the page. Let's count. On top we have a horizontal-scrolling menu with animated picture links that I'm guessing are supposed to hypnotize me into liking the site. Mouse over them and you get a quick slide shows of the PGSM senshi. That's style one. Below that on the left is an incongruous Eternal Sailor Moon. Number two. Then there's PGSM Sailor Moon on the right, a graphic designed for centering. Three. Then an inner scrolling update page with anime Sailor Moon as background. Four. Scroll down for a left-side menu and more updates. Five. And keep heading down for another left-side menu That's six layouts on one page. The only thing I could think of is that they were going for a "front page of a newspaper" look, but it doesn't work with a black background and Sailor Moon pictures. I want to go to one of the sub-pages, but I have to stop because music just blasted out of my speakers. I didn't want music to blast out of my speakers. When I do, rest assured I can make it happen without the aid of a website. OK, speakers off, let's try again. This one is called Earth's Matrix Page, and I'm really wishing I could take the blue pill so I could wake up and pretend this is a nightmare. As near as I can tell, this is one big jpeg of screenshots from Sailor Moon video games, with an offer to take requests-I don't know how they transfer them. I don't really want them. Next is Jupiter's Music, and I'm physically recoiling. The Japanese red sun rays is done here in green, with anime Jupiter and a mini-PGSM Jupiter on top. It's a beautiful tribute to the precise shade of human vomit. Thankfully, the page is under construction and doesn't exist, so I can move on. To the right are Mars's Gossip and Mercury's Links, the latter of which features what has to be the worst online idea this side of SOS: an animated background. And it's not even a well-engineered animated background. It's flowing water that jumps back to the top when the animation is done. Maybe the site was designed for amber monitors, but I think it would look garish even there. I haven't even scratched the surface of what will make you consider blindness a blessing. We haven't talked fonts or text colors or consistency. And I don't want to, because it hurts. So I'll just leave you with the One Good Thing which is that you won't have to see any of the bad content on the site thanks to the bad site design. Avoid senshisrus.net at all costs. |

Neptune*Waits for page to load*............ Oi I'm on a cable connection and it's taking quite a lot of time to load. Ok finally. Well this site is all mushed together! I mean links are all over the place! They're on top as well as the bottom of the page!!! >.< Well all the links take some time to load and when I finally get to the page it's so...so...blah! The color scheme is horrible! I mean nothing is blinding me but the colors are making me feel dizzy! * Clicks on 'Jupiter's Music' on top menu and falls out of chair* Barf! I had to get out of there! "Mar's Gossip" isn't any better I'm affraid! Things are all over the place with little fires throughout the page. Um..ok... I'm sorry but everything on this site is so badly done! Not only do I have to wait for things to load but I have to make my eyes suffer from viewing badly done pages! *Clicks on the red X on browser* I can't do this review to the extent as everything I see just makes me want to kill myself. Ug! |
