Layout & Design Is the layout intuitive and easy to navigate? Is it compatible across all browsers and resolution? Is it aesthetically pleasing? |
PtilolFirst off, there's a simple splash page that has a smaller version of the image on the main page, no credits, helpful details, or anything like that. However, there is a really irritating ad bar down the side of the screen. *rolls eyes* Thanks Geocites. Upon clicking enter, (that bar is still there, it can be minimized at least) the full version of the spash image appears. Looks like some kind of fan art. Ok fine. Scrolling down is the rest of the page "layout" (if you can call it that). It's a basic template-type layout where you fill in the blanks. However, the text of what should go where, is still there. For example, in the heading called "Updates" the text states "updates go here." Yes, we know already. Under the heading of "Information" there are nine (yes, NINE) link texts that you can click. Clicking any one of them gets you a "page not found". Same goes for all the other links. The only decent thing about it is that I haven't gone blind from poor color combinations. It's at least easy to read....if you don't mind looking at text that goes nowhere. |

Written Content Is there lots of written information? Are all profiles, back story, and other textual content accurate? Does the site offer fanfiction or other miscellaneous written content? |
EudialLets see what we got here. Alright, this site has not been updated since 2000, but I shall try to see if this site had any depth to it. Alright, it seems that in the first section, they go into detail about the first season. Regrettably, they go into it in detail, so that kind of upsets me that they did this. Luckily, they only did that for the first season. They didnt bother with the S, SuperS, and Stars season. Ok, the character section is odd. First, Sailor Moon and Mercury have their own section, but then the creator just threw Mars, Jupiter, and venus all on one page. Errr whaaaa? Not to mention, they are using the dubbed names for attacks. ewwwwww And whats worse is that no one else is done!!! The Sailor Moon Episode list just has the titles and release dates for the first two seasons...bllllaaaaaaaaaah. And ur horoscopes...i dunno where you came up with this stuff, but it seems very inaccurate. However, u did write "These horoscopes are not accurate!" so i wont hold that against you. The Sailor Moon Quiz is far too easy. I only didnt know one question. As for the rest of the site, it just kind of sucks. lol. I rate this site to be poor. |

Visual Content What kind of visual content is offered? Is it efficiently organized and intuitively accessible? Are all visual media offered legally? |
ViluyIt's been 5 years (at least) since this site was last updated so I'm not really expecting much of the links or the media to work, but I'll give it a try. Music - links don't work in the little box at the top (or side, in some cases) of the page, but do work from the main text on the main page ONLY. The songs are in RAM format, which rules out me trying them, as I don't (and never will) have Real Media in any way, shape, or form on my computer. That is, if they're still up. No way to prove it really... The ASCII art is cute, but not very interesting to me, and the paper doll is so 'been there, done that'. How can you tell I'm not some screaming teenager? The quiz is pretty underwhelming - I mean, you have to grade it yourself. How boring is that in the days of java scripted quizzes? Oh what a surprise - the virtual postcards don't work. Le sigh. Overall, the media on this site is a bit of a joke, but what does one expect of a site that's 5 years (at least) out of date? I'm wondering why this rubbish is still online, really. It's one of the first sites I ever came across ages and ages ago and it shows its age, badly....I mean, where are all the pretty pictures? There are NO pictures at all on the site. Pretty disappointing really.... |

Overall How does the site flow, overall? What are the wholistic impressions the viewer gets from the site? |
CyprineThis site has terrible graphic design. God, I hate pre-packaged image filters like thse over-used spotlight effect used in this site. Not to mention that there's a big, blue, blobby Super Sailor Moon covering Minako's face on the header banner. The site also suffers from some serious navigation issues -- some of the subsections do not contain navigation links and, overall, the site doesn't maintain a similar cohesive look. Some of the files link to broken files, such as the video/audio clips linked from the Character Pages. Otherwise, this site is pretty lame... most of what it offers are kind of boring, miscellaneous SM goodies like virtual cards and games. There's very little by way of information, graphics, and what IS offered is unimpressive. Not to mention that the layout is rather busy and ugly (what with the tiled background and the writing all over Sailor Moon's face that represent the navigation links). The only positive part of this site is that the image map navigation links are accompanied with text links. |
