I'm a Sailor Luna fan. A lot of people aren't, and I respect that, at least as much as I respect any opinion which differs from my own; that is to say, I'll allow it until I take over the world. But that's one thing and this is. . . Angelic Destiny. . . Rina Koike. Unlike most of our sites, this one is Sailor Moon-related only in that PGSM is the career highlight of the site's subject.

Although unofficial, the site manages to have the feel of a Japanese idol site, as it gives the kind of information one would find on a passport application, but with no real depth to the information. There is a page detailing all the things Koike's been in, which isn't much since I think she's only, like, 4 years old. (Ok, she's really 11, don't e-mail me on that) Most of the work details, though, are "coming soon," which is something one can never trust to be true on a web site. The one that does have the details is the Kirai Super Live special, although the link to the mp3 of Koike's song is not one I advise following.

There is a small section for wallpapers and videos, nothing extensive. The wallpapers are OK, but won't actually be hitting my desktop any time soon. In the video section you can download the Sailor Luna henshin video, which is a good bit of fun, and an idol DVD preview, which is a bit too Loli at some points for me-I kind of want to take a shower after seeing it.

The layout of this site helps sell the idol image. The purple theme of the page that matches Sailor Luna's skirt and the playful fonts (for titles, not information) fit the theme perfectly. The only major design problem is that the site has more pop-ups than a game of Trouble. Go to the gallery to see what I mean. Each thumbnail page is a pop-up, and than each picture is it's own pop-up. It's Javascript too, so unless you want to type the pictures' URLs, you have to get the extra window.

All I can say in closing is that you'd better be a Human Luna fan if you're going to venture to Angelic Destiny, or if you're not, have a toothbrush, because it's a sickly sweet site about a sickly sweet little girl.

Layout-Kawaii! Just beautiful. Even on geocities the site is full of wonderful goodies. *Note: The author announced that the site will soon move to it's own domain so that's really good to hear. Everything works like a charm-no blinding text nor do I have to highlight. Good job.

Content-Lots of media (clips, scans...) on Rina (Sailor Luna people) so if you are wanting to know something on Rina, this site is your best bet. What I find most interesting is that the author seperated the media into different sections. I.E. "Cinema, Stageshow, Print and Notable Appearances." I love how this is done.

My only complaint is that a few things open in new windows. Not a big deal, but it's just my personal thing. ^^

I wish the author the best of luck transfering everything over to the new domain and I can't wait to see what else is in store.

Breakdown of site 65/100

Welcome and site Identity 7
- A very interesting welcome/home page. It seems to show that the designer knows a lot about coding from a professional perspective with all the fancy bits. There's almost TOO much stuff on the front page, but I do like it, even tho it's pink. *grins at Saturn* Handy news, updates, and recent info on Ms. Koike all on one page.

Navigation 7
- Numerous links on the front page, as well as the standard-ish set of links to the bio/media/gallery/resume pages, each with a cute little picture above. There are almost too many links but it's all good - offering information from different parts of the site at one click is a novel idea and one that many people can learn from. It's well set out here and tastefully (and not over-) done.

Content of Interest 7
- There is plenty to see here about the little lady who plays Sailor Luna. Admittedly I'm not a huge fan of hers, but this site almost makes me one. That's a huge achievement in itself. The only thing I wonder is why does a bloke have a site about a little girl? *chuckles ruefully* Yes, I had to put that in there as that was the first thought that came into my head as I first saw the site. However, that being said, you can see the designer has the ultimate respect for Ms. Koike and that is what I like to see. It's not trashy in any way. There are even plenty of links to her own official page.

Plenty of cute pictures in the gallery of many of her appearances, set out in a common-sense fashion that doesn't overload one with images on first click. There is even a list of how many pictures in each little subgallery. Neat. I like that. Rina's Media Zone has sublinks to cute wallpapers (at both of the most common resolutions) and a videos page. The video page is fairly basic as there are only 2 links but I'm sure more will come. A plus is that it's not all just Luna stuff.

A small listing of recent appearances in each of shows, stage and print media with information which pops up as you click on the photos. It doesn't overload you right away with information. It does mean there is the potential for wasted space but it's solved by having the information in a pop up with no wasted space at all.

Advertising and sponsorship 6
- A lot of advertising of her official page, as well as for her products (the magazines, her Idol DVD etc.) which is nice to see. It's not in yer face, but still there if you want it.

Self-promotion 5
- Not much in the way of self-promotion as of yet, but given the site has only recently moved to its own domain, I'm sure that will come. I'll be watching for it.

Filler 7
- Not really much in the way of filler information here. Everything is well thought out, well presented (for the most part) and the only slip I can see here is a tiny promotion for the dreaded Senshi R Us site. Please don't even go there...*shudders* Other than that, a great and refreshing site for this reviewer.

White-space 6
- Everything is set out well, with a lot of white-space to rest the eyes. No flashy, overpowering backgrounds here, thank you very much. The information is nice and to the point, with a lot of explanation. There could be a little more in the way of usage of available space though, it's a bit too sparse for my liking.

Other 6
- I looked and looked, and nowhere could I find a credits page. Credit is a must, even if it's to say you got it all from a DVD or other page. [edit: oke, so there is a credits page, it's just not very apparent as it is a link to the 'site tech' in an out-of-the-way place that nobody will even see, much less pay attention to if they do. I almost missed it! Have it more obvious, hey?] There is a lot of information on the site, set out in an organised way and I think a lot of sites could learn from this one. It looks VERY official :) With a lot more content, this will easily become a resource for all Koike Rina fans out there.

Saturn

Alright, this site as moved, so I am going to its new link.

WAI! Rina-chan!!! Alright away from that outburst *ahem*...

I am glad to see that this site has moved away from Geocities. I hate Geocities sites as they are rarely worth the space they occupy and Geocities is by far one of the most annoying free hosts out there.

This layout is simple and easy to navigate. It is clean and doesn't hurt the eyes. Thank you for not burning a horrible background image into my retina. I will appreciate it when I am older.

Unfortunately the "Bio" section reminds me of dollbox stats, but for once it isn't a character but a real human. That is refreshing. (For those that aren't aware, this site is based around Rina Koike who plays Sailor Luna in PGSM.) I am glad to see a link to Rina's official site. I wish more sites would do this, but you can't win them all.

The "Works" section is a list of the different roles that she has played and is laid out in a way that doesn't make you want to hang yourself and I will soon have to make some new things for the "media" section as it lacks wallpapers and needs more videos :P

The gallery seems genuine for the most part, which is refreshing. It isn't the same images that are swiped from everywhere else around the web.

I don't really have much to say about this site. It is a nice site and you should have a look at it if you are a Rina fan.
