Breakdown of site 10/100

Welcome and site Identity 1
- A scrolling background (?) with a horribly done graphic of the senshi and badly spelled title. At least I think that's what it is, as the script and the lettering are almost impossible to see, given they're on a badly sized, bad quality picture. Other than that, 2 totally lame polls and a list of links to different things at the left side.

Navigation 1
- Link list on a solid grey-ish background, mainly leading to stuff to do with an RPG. Pretty boring as presented but functional nonetheless. Oke, this is BAD. The site doesn't work in Firefox AT ALL. The links don't click. *sighs and moves to IE* Bad practice right there. Site should be coded for all browsers, even last year, which is when the last updates appear to have been made.

Content of Interest 2
- Ok, this isn't good. Offering, or trying to offer full episodes of a licensed series is piracy. That is why you are not allowed to host them anywhere. The RPG link doesn't work at all, it just sends me back to the main page. The clips are not available either. Not an auspicious start.

When it says 'walk thru the game', I was expecting a text walk-thru, not a single line saying download my game. I'm sorry but I'm not downloading anything thanks...especially not from a site as poor as this one. Having a sort of explanation of an RPG in the link 'The Legendary Warrior' is what should have been done for the Alternate Beginnings story.

Quite a few of these links could have been combined into one link, with the storylines, the screenshots and downloads all on the same page. That way it's more organised. Ideally the pictures in the gallery should be all one size and thumbnails, not just small irregularly sized pictures. They're not even organised in any semblance of order other than by senshi name or group. There is a terrible tiled background on this part of the site as well. The background shouldn't overpower the rest of the site and every background does on this site, from the weird starry background of the main pages to the tiled gallery background.

Frankly there isn't much about the actual Sailor Moon series here apart from the appalling gallery so there's not much more to do for the reviews. More than half the links don't work, and what does, I kinda wish didn't.

Filler 1
- This entire site is filler, to me. Hardly worth paying any attention to as it's boring and completely lacking in character.

White-space 1
- This site is full of unused space, but with those backgrounds, it's not very easy on the eyes. It's also not very good as far as lack of coherent content.

Other 2
- This site basically has very little of Sailor Moon series content and thus I have little interest in it, to be honest. The fact that the owner wants to offer illegal content doesn't help much, which is probably why he can't find a reputable host for it. I wouldn't waste my time on this site, it's badly designed, around a premise that I have little time for, as I am not an RPG type gamer. It's also one of the worst designed sites I've seen in a long time, and we've reviewed a lot of sites since we started

Saturn

Hooray! Another Angelfire page, which translates into another batch of crap filled with banners and popups, but I am at least saved from the popups by Service Pack 2. But you know what is worse then angelfire's banners and pops? Animated backgrounds. Even worse then that? Animated backgrounds that you can visibly seen when they loop..... Yeah we saw this one over at SenshisRUs when we reviewed that piece of shit... and it made me sick there so you can imagine that it isn't doing my any better here.

This person obviously knows how to impliment a stylesheet seeing that the scrollbar for this site is green, but to be sure it wasn't generated, I shall view the source code.... Uhm, what the hell is this? I am almost three quarters of the way down the source file page before I found the style sheet.... there is an obscene amount of XML that is wasted on I don't know what unless it is this piece of shit animated background.... Good god is that pathetic... Not to mention, it is painfully obvious that this person did NOT write this code on their own. It is swiped from somewhere or generated. I am going with generated after seeing the "End Sparklit HTML Code" bit in there.... meaning this person is even more pathetic then this site dictates.

Look people, flat out. If you can't be bothered to learn to code your own site, then don't bother. It isn't worth the time for most people to view a site that has nothing but generated code as unless you are using something like Dreamweaver, it is most likely going to look like shit and be badly done and incorrect... Just don't bother if you aren't willing to learn.

Onto content as the layout is just disgusting and pathetic...

I find this amusing "Download Sailor Moon RPG by clicking on the image above or use “save target as” here. It’s about 1.51mb (at least until the next version). " I find it amusing because when you click EITHER they don't work. This is the main draw of your site and it doesn't work.... that makes me want to draw away from it immediately, but I strive to amuse those that find my cynicism amusing.

Everybody knows my feelings on "Full Episodes". If they are Stars, have a field day, but on more then a few sites I know that they aren't and that bothers me as the series are readily available in most stores (Stars excluded).

But this statement makes me happy.

"Hey everyone. About the full episodes… Until I find a new host that allows full sailor moon episodes, I have had to take them off. But I can still somehow get to you. Email me and we’ll figure out a way to get them to you. And… I NOW HAVE EPISODE 200!!! The final sailor moon episode. It is awesome!"

Yeah... like somebody would be willing to host episodes for this piece of shit site.... isn't happening hun, so give up now. You aren't going to find a free host to host something like that, so get over it.

The clips and games are pointless so I am skipping over them in the review. I did look at them but they are shitty so I don't feel like wasting my hands as my carpal is killing me tonight with the cold weather.

Could somebody explain to me why all of a sudden the gallery is on a different site all together and why the layout changed and this gallery is just taking up valuable internet space for nothing! This is sometimes why I feel free services shouldn't exist anymore... there are too many idiots that sign up for them and build shit like this.... NEXT!

This site has awards? How? Oh right... I forgot about bribe money even though this is a FREE site.... You know maybe I should apply for some awards.... nah, I would rather have them given to us by somebody else instead of begging for them. However this person seems to have no shame as they have a whole schlew of them somewhow....

You know, I hate to admit it, but I have pretty much covered ALL of the content of this site. There isn't really anything here and I really wish I had viewed this site before I submitted it to my team from the list. From now on I am going to have to overlook a site before giving it to them as this is just pathetic.

Good advice? Get some real content for your site, get your links working. Get off Angelfire.

Uranus

Role-playing. To paraphrase the other Sailor Uranus, I don't do that kind of thing outside of a bed. But this page. . . which doesn't seem to have a formal title, endeavors to sell me on a Sailor Moon role-playing game. Instead, the author should try playing the role of a competent web designer, because that would certainly be entering the realm of fantasy. Since the page has no title, I'll give it one:"How to accentuate all the worst parts of being on Angelfire." Maybe a bit overlong, but we'll work on it.

We'll begin by mentioning the fact that in Opera, the left side menu doesn't work. It's just a useless graphic with no links. So it's IE for me, and that already raises my ire. Then there's the moving background of a night sky. Moving images in the front are pain enough. The Angelfire bar sits proudly atop the page, as well it might, because it's the most well-designed piece of code on here. Then right in the middle of the screen is a graphic with the game title "The Alternate Beginning." Well, it must have been a very squished and pixellated beginning, if the graphic is an example. Incongruous polls litter the right side of the page, and then below the background just goes on and on with more useless stars than this year's Oscars.

As far as content, the site purports to have some possibly decent material, but doesn't actually have anything. There's a link for full Sailor Moon episodes, but only half of one is listed, and the link to that is broken. That one is episode 200, which the author says, rightly enough, is the final episode. That will be important later. There is also a list of the Sailor Moon video games with links to download emulations of them. Not a functional link in the bunch. Just out of morbid curiosity I check to see if the link to the RPG, you know, the whole *point* of the site, works. No dice. Clearly this game maker just doesn't care.

There is also a link for a message board, and I'm intrigued enough to wonder what such a person would say on one. Checking it out we find that the site author is a bald-faced liar. He posts flagrant lies about new seasons of Sailor Moon that ther is absolutely no evidence of anyone even thinking of making. This after he says that episode 200 is the last one. It's this kind of rumor-mongering that causes confusion among the hoi polloi of Sailor Moon fans, and annoyance among the intelligentsia.

To top it all off, the site author is an award whore. No fewer than eight banners dot the awards page, although as a testament to the actual quality of this site, many of them are of the "nice attempt" variety. Well, since awards are so desired, let me give this page Sailor Uranus's Order of the Terrible Web Page. Now I've got to find One Good Thing. Usually this presents itself in the course of my viewing the page, but for this one I've actually got to go searching. Ah, but of course. All the broken links prevent anyone from making the mistake of actually playing the role-playing game and wasting their precious time.

Neptune

OMG I'm getting sick with the background. HELP! Ok first off, the author should not have moving backgrounds. This is for two reasons, one is that people can get sick and the other is that people on dial up *may* have a hard time opening the page.

Layout-Basic left hand side Menu but I don't like the set up. Things don't line up correctly. I also noticed that sometimes the links get fuzzy while loading and stay that way. Probably because of the background is still loading.

Content-well I thought there was some but it turns out that the Multimedia isn't even available. So my question is, why have the links? The person has up their own RPG game, so if anyone likes these kinds of games (I don't) may want to check the site out just for this.

Navigation-Pretty simple with standard Menu links. Some links are broken though so the author should fix those.

Overall Opinion-Scrap the site and start anew. Stay away from moving backgrounds as many people hate it. Also, if your site is mostly about your RPG game, don't list other kind of multimedia as it doesn't pertain to your site.
