Sailor Dream.... ok... except this title of a site is jacked from the much better known Sailor Dream and well, the much BETTER Sailor Dream.... Why people insist on taking the titles of other sites I will never know. It just makes you look unoriginal and really do you think that anybody is going to choose your site when you obviously can't come up with your own original name, and most likely because of such are going to be assumed to have no original content either... come on now... you can do better then this.

The last update on this site was in November 2003 so I am pretty sure this site has probably been abandoned, and gee I wonder why. Maybe the author discovered the REAL "Sailor Dream"... either that or they got a clue, but I am not going to place any bets on that option.

I am curious as to why when I click a link, it changes the background in the iframe. The point of an iframe is to keep consistancy, which this site lacks. However the bad background on the page, the image on the left that look like JUST an image as opposed to any idea of a layout and then the slight space between that and the iframe makes me wonder if the author is on some good drugs or if they are just a frontpage user as that is what it reeks of currently, so lemme check. Holy Shit! I'm right! Who knew that I was psychic?! Oh wait, I have seen crap like this before, it is known as Cindra's shithole of a site, except this author seems to know what an iframe is, how to target links into it, and that an iframe should NOT be set as a size and then scroll for a full 1024x768 resolution. I can applaud that at least.... oh wait I can't as any idiot can drag and drop, meaning they can use frontpage.

Moving onto content.

The "Story" category is nothing but something that was swiped from Genvid and is admitted as such on the site right there, which is nice to see, but underneath that is act summaries and none are there. There is text for three of them, but none of them are actual links... wow... looks like this site died before it got its first breath of life.

You can't get much more straight forward then the cast page. It says who the character is, who plays the character and has a small screen capture of them with it. There is NOTHING else here.

The photos section has exactly FIVE images. Wow... I understand that the last time this was updated was shortly after the show started airing, but it doesn't take much to make screen caps. Hell, take a note from Cindra and get the program she uses, or maybe this person is still under the impression that Cindra actually puts work into her caps... who knows.

Looks like this person has already taken a page from Cindra after reading the "Clips" page, as it reads:

However I made a promise with Sere Cinda that I would put these clips up, or at least in my web files.

Why did you make a promise to that psycho? Oh wait, so Cindra could take them from you most likely, call them her own, and then try to make everybody else believe that you are the crazy one because how could SHE do anything wrong.

Wow, I am at the last link now which is aptly named "Links" and I am laughing... busting a gut laughing at that. Not only am I greeted with a new backgorund that is more then annoying, but I find that this is the mysterious "Pinkgirl" that has created this site. No wonder the ties to Cindra as this is Cindra's current "designer".... though there is no DESIGN at all... just a bunch of crap. Of course the only links that are here are kissing the ass of everything Genvid related, though I will never figure out why anybody would actually LIKE Genvid.... of course I don't see what people find in Cindra either, so there ya go.

Alright, so some good advice.... Scrap this site. You obviously don't give a damn about it as there is nothing here and it hasn't been updated in over a year. Take it off the web as opposed to leaving it here to rot.

Sailor Dream-A Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Site (be careful-there's another site out there with an almost identical name, and this site is rather different) takes the radical step of putting all of its content into a roughly 10-cm. x 15-cm. box and making the rest of the page completely static. This would tend to give pages an awful lot of scrolling, but since none of the pages have that much content, it's a problem avoided.

On the home page, we're told the whole site is a project for school. Based on the site's quality, I can only assume it's a public school. A lament (or a threat) follows, where the author whines about PGSM not being released in the US, and actually hoping Fox Kids picks it up. The last update on the page is November of 2003, so evidently it's not an ongoing school project. By the way, if I seem to be dealing in minutiae in this review, it's only because the site is so bereft of content that I've got to work with what I'm given.

The Story page is next, which after we read it we're informed was taken from another site. Because certainly bashing out 125 words of one's own on Sailor Moon would take too much time. It does give this page the virtue of being the only one on the site not laden with spelling errors. There is a place for episode summaries here, but only the first three acts are even listed, and they're "coming soon." Meaning it's taken longer to write one summary than it did to air the series.

Cast page is next, and all this is is small screenshots from the opening, with the senshi's name, civilian name, and actress name. That's it. What, no stultifyingly inaccurate senshi profiles? I'm so disappointed. Move right on to photos, but don't stop for breath, because there's all of five here.

Now we come to clips. There are a few attack and show clips, and to my surprise they're actually still here. The author manages to consistently misspell the name of the person who donated the clips, and mentions that hosting the clips is against the recommendation of her parents. Well, that's just sheer boneheadedness. What parent is going to answer in the affirmative to, "Do you think it's a good idea, on the website I'm making about a TV show to put videos of that show on there, which is a matter of questionable legality and costs lots of money?" This raging tsunami of information comes to a conclusion with a links page consisting of four links, three of which are SM-related, two of which are in English, neither of which I'd go to.

I just love doing these reviews where I write more about the site than what's on the site itself. The lesson to be learned is that if you're doing a web page for a school project, don't actually put it on the Web. The One Good Thing about this site is the last picture, which is Takeuchi Naoko and all the PGSM senshi actresses. It made me realize how tall Mew is compared to the rest of them.

Layout-Basic layout being used. Generated in Frontpage tho, so I've seen this type of layout a lot. However, nothing is blinding and I don't need to highlight.

Content-Not much. I don't know why the site is even up as the last update was back in Nov. of 03. All of her clips were made by other people, but it looks as though she has permission to use them. Note to webauthor: Update your site or take it off the net. No need to have a site that you can't even maintain.

Ok, That's all that is here. Nothing eye catching and makes me want to come back for more. My advice is to scrap the site-seeing how the author doesn't even have the time to update it.

Breakdown of site 21/100

Welcome and site Identity 4
- An interesting home page to the site. The frame background isn't the same as the rest of the background of the page. Why not? It's a fairly easy bit of coding. Also, please give up on the thoughts of them ever releasing PGSM anywhere other than Japan. I'm sure it makes you feel better to believe it but get your head outta the clouds, my dear. It never will be, if Takeuchi-sensei has anything to say about it, and it's a well known fact. *sighs and rolls eyes* Also, try blending the picture of the girls into the background of the site? It's not the greatest background, but it just sticks out the way it is now and makes your site look very amateur indeed. Not special.

Navigation 4
- A basic set of links at the top of the page. Nothing really too out there or special.

Content of Interest 4
- It seems like everything about this site is basic. One page per link. Nothing special about any of it. All the information seems to have been taken from elsewhere with very few credits. There is nothing about the different senshi at all apart from a picture of each and their names. Not even the standard boring profile info. And just to let you know, 5 screencaps do not a photo gallery make. The clips disclaimer seems to take up more wasted space than the clips themselves. Put that into a credits page honey. Speaking of which, there isn't one. Make one. Everything should be credited and seen to be such. As it is, someone who sees this site will be going...where's the credits, dude!

Advertising and sponsorship 0

Self-promotion 0

Filler 1
- There is very little filler (or content at all) on this site.

White-space 4
- The information is set out in a page that is static apart from the frame. It is organised fairly decently within the frame, nothing too out there, but there does seem to be a lot of wasted space in the page itself. It appears to be coded for 800x600 res and that's why there's a lot of wasted space. If you're any good, you'd code for as many resolutions and browsers as you could.

Other 4
- Just really a disappointing site. There is little to hold the visitor here - once they've downloaded the clips, they won't ever come back to the site again, as there's nothing here. Pretty boring to say the least and I can tell you I won't be coming back either. Most of the information is taken from elsewhere. Get your information yourself honey, don't take it from other places verbatim. There are TONS of websites out there with classy designs that you can learn from. Please do. And please get your head out of Ceresindra's ass. It's not pretty to grovel like that.
