Breakdown of site 94.5/100

Welcome and site Identity 9.5
-I've been a fan of this site since practically day one, all those years ago. It's always been the most comprehensive site out there, and the welcoming 'home' page is proof of that. Everything is set out in a logical order, given the sheer amount of information on this site. The little icons are cute and unique to The Oracle. I did find a bit of a nitpicky error on the welcome page -where it says to navigate using the letter links 'at the top' which is no longer the case. They used to be at the top *grins* (and I can remember this vividly), but they are now at the left hand side.

Navigation 9.5
-The use of alphabetical links to the encyclopedia, as well as the nav. at the right hand side makes it very easy for people to find their way around the site, or search just that one thing that you're looking for, for whatever reason. It's logical structure and clearly set out icons and links to just about anything and everything you'd ever want to know about the Sailor Moon universe makes it one of the stellar sites for me. The only part that is not labelled is in the encyclopedia links with the little coloured boxes. It gives you the name in the bottom bar of the browser, but it would be nice to have something like a mouse-over text thing as well that says what it is for.

Content of Interest 10
-Everything. Can't get much better than that *grins* This site has everything, as I've said over and over, including the most esoteric tidbits such as the name lists from all over the world where SM is known, as well as the mythology behind the series. It has information from each incarnation of the series, from the original and reprinted manga, to the anime episode lists, and PGSM information. You need info? The Oracle's got it, guaranteed.

Advertising and sponsorship 9
-This site is very well known to me, and I've seen it advertised elsewhere, as THE place for SM information. The links list is comprehensive, one of the largest lists I've ever seen, and it shows that others agree with me.

Self-promotion 9.5
The link exchange, cosmic quilt, and fanlisting links are great to see. It's a great way to promote your site. The awards and free graphics are a great way to win visitors as well, but by far the biggest way of self-promotion is the sheer amount of information itself. I don't really think anything's been left out.

Filler 8.5
Plenty of entertaining filler information for the keenest fan. From graphics, to games (NOTE: The games only work in IE, not Mozilla or Netscape) and articles giving the site owner's opinion on stuff, you won't go away for hours, if at all. And you will never leave unhappy, I can promise you that. There are a few things like the online shopping guide that could be expanded a little but I'm not into that so much, so it's not a biggie for me. (*laughs* Just so you all know how lame I am, I failed the quiz horribly *chuckles*)

White-space 9.5
-Great use of white space which is very restful on these tired eyes. The information isn't jumbled together or cramped into a small space. The text size should be increased a little bit tho, I found it a bit small for me to read easily.

Other 9
-Overall, this is THE definitive Sailor Moon Encyclopedia site. It has just about anything and everything even the pickiest of fans (or is that fanatics?) could want, and you will not go away empty-handed. A very well done site and I'm proud to say I have followed this site since practically day one as a SM fan and since the site's inception way back when. It's always had a very simple and classy design. I would be proud to be included in the links of this site.

One thing I did notice with this incarnation, as with previous versions, there are distracting coloured lines in the text areas at times, especially where there is a lot of information. It appears as tho the CSS has been changed but nothing else, in each form of the site, and the line is leftover from perhaps the first version of the site and just left there. I know there are coloured lines used as separators, its not these that I mean, it's lines IN the text itself rather than used as separators...It's rather annoying to me, especially as I've seen it for so long...Other than that, 10 TU (10 thumbs up :))

You know, I have known of "The Oracle" for a very long time now. In fact my Venus information for my PGSM Venus site was found at "The Oracle" I have loved this site for a long time and as I find myself reviewing it, I find that this is difficult.

It is difficult because there is so much to this site that I don't know where to begin, so I am not going to try to. This review will be very simple and to the point.

The Oracle is the place to go if you need information of any type in the Sailor Moon Universe. Its name suits it rather well as an oracle is supposed to be "all knowing" which this site surely seems to be.

Information, images, Music, Graphics, "The Oracle" has it all. The site design is clean and for the most part, easy to navigate, though sometimes can be confusing.

I see that the layout has changed recently an that is about all I actually have a complaint about. I feel that the old layout was a bit nicer to see as it was a bit more colorful whereas this one has a lot of "white" in it. This is a personal preference and doesn't detract from the site in any way, so don't think that it is a strike against it.

This site has earned its place in "The Good" and will stay there as I don't see it changing anytime soon. And if you have any reason that you think my review was too generic or too short, go see the site for yourself and understand why I can't really say all that much. It is wonderful. Good Job!

Some of our good sites are unique, brilliant ideas, that you wish you thought of first. The Oracle is not like that. It's a simple about-SM site like so many others. What makes it good is that it actually tries to inform, instead of show off how much the author knows in some vain attempt to play schoolteacher.

To attempt to put the torrent of information into any kind of tabulated list would be an excercise in futility. Suffice it to say that there is tremendous detail in all of the categories-a lot more than dollbox statistics. And very little is missing here. There's a comprehensive list of all the seiyuu that have any kind of role in SM. And if you don't like looking by category, there's the alphabetical listing on the left side of the page.

Of comparitive brilliance is what I will term the omake section of the page. Here are the opinion articles, icons and banners, awards, games, that kind of thing. I particularly enjoyed the "North American Sailor Moon Episode title or Porn Movie title" game. Or work your mouse hand with Tux Out, a Tuxedo Mask-themed version of Arkanoid. Your reviewer spent an hour on this just to make sure the game played to the exacting standards of my readers. (*cough*) There's plenty of Sailor Moon fun here to distract you from homework or chores. Also of particular distinction is the online shopping guide. Thus far, all it has are links to places to buy the manga, but those places are cheap and look pretty good. No excuses not to read the manga at these prices! Now, go find similar bargains for plushies and wall scrolls, and you'll make me very happy.

If there's a flaw to the site, and this is just my opinion, it's that all the names are listed given name first, family name second. And while it's good to be consistent, I've gotten used to the Japanese way on so many of the names. Usagi Tsukino just doesn't sound right.

If all the personal Sailor Moon webpages were like this one, there'd be no need for our little Pocky Box to tell you which ones to avoid. I can only advise you to put The Oracle on your bookmark list and make it a first stop any time you think of something SM you need.

Ok can we say "detailed information ahead"? Well that's exactly what this site is! INFORMATION GALORE! There's a lot to cover so let's start the review!!!

Content: Duh! Everything ranging from the Manga to PGSM to Mythology! Wow! Other things included are games, fashion, free graphics and the like. "The Oracle" also has tons of information of the Seiyuu (Voice Actors) from three different translated versions of Sailor Moon-Japanese, English and Italian! This girl has a lot of information here!

I'm currently in the "Villian Profiles" and the only series missing is "Stars" but hey everything else is here including the villians from "ChibiUsa's Picture Diary". ^_^ Fans shall rejoice! Hehe...

Next I'm viewing the "Mythology" section. Here the webmistress has the "Astrology" on four characters and the Blood type of all of the senshi. I'm just going to click on "Cancer" and view Usagi's and ChibiUsa's profile. Very detailed information on what the sign of "Cancer" is and then it goes into "How Usagi fits this profile" (same for ChibiUsa). Again very detailed information. I'm not going to go into detail as I think it would spoil the fun!

Next I'm viewing some of the image gallary and wow...again...there are tons upon tons of images! You can pick from the Anime to the Manga to Christmas images to Doujinshi! WOOT!

Ok Now I'm not going to go into every link as I'm more then positive they are just as detailed! I just want to point out that under the image of Chibi Cosmos there's a box that reads "The Encylopaedia". This is a very useful tool to this site. Click on a letter and it will (in alphabetical order, mind you) give you a detailed description of what happened in Sailor Moon. Wow..some of these things I didn't even know!!!!

Overall thoughts/opinons-I think my above review says it all. But here's a recap. WOW! ~_^
