Ecchi alert! This page is not work-safe, as you will find if you scroll down to the wallpapers section. It may not be visible on first glance, but that's definite forbidden flesh being shown on one of the wallpapers. Which by the way are for desktop use only, so you laptop people are out of luck. (OK, before someone does something really stupid, that's a joke. It means don't use it as a website layout. I know you all know that but I guarantee there's one idiot out there who's saying "Well, I have a desktop so I can take that wall and put it on my web page!") The head image for the page also suggests that Princess Serenity has been using the Ginzuishou to increase her bust size. A practice I completely approve of, of course. But perhaps the most erotic one is the other wall of Sailor Lethe and Sailor The One With Sailor Lethe (that never gets old)-with wings. Wings make any girl sexier.

But beyond the graphic manipulation the highlight of the page for me is the fanart. It simply rocks. Most fanart involves the artist's interpretation (or, more likely, poor skills) of what a senshi should look like. This is realism (as much as there can be for a cartoon (do I have too many parenthetical asides?)) at it's finest. The head graphic on the "True Story" page of Haruka, Hotaru, and Michiru is clearly not from the show, but could be. The hair is right, the colors are right, the facial structure is damn close. This is what I want to see in fanart.

So now you're asking if this surrounds anything good. Well, there are series summaries which almost, but not quite, are a good substitute for watching one of them. I mean, if you haven't seen any of the show, they won't help, but if you've seen Classic and R and want to know S, these would. They are long and detailed and hit the big highlights without getting bogged down in the many filler episodes. There are also character profiles written in the first person. These are interesting, because the author has tried to assume the persona of each character without being too over the top. This works well for, say, Ami or Michiru, who speak intelligently and elegantly, but less so for Minako or Queen Beryl, from whom you'd expect to hear either energetic description and megalomaniacal rantings respectively.

The rest of the page is less detailed, but more fun. There's a self-made senshi (more boss fanart), a good hard quiz (it would be less so if we knew if the questions want manga or anime), a picture puzzle that takes all of two minutes, and some site stuff. So the main reasons to come are for information or for the fanart. Building the graphical part of the page would definitely be the next step for this author, but as it stands it's a nice fun little page with a minor, non-terminal case of being just like all the rest.

Neptune

The images underneath the main image don't show up so that's not very welcoming. >.< The requirements to view the site at its' best are hard to read. Too fuzy for my liking. Let's click the image and move onto the site.

Layout-Ok there's two versions to choose from! Netscape users have a fanart type layout. The fanart was made by Anna Misak and although credit is given, I'm not sure is she has allowed others to use her works for layouts. I may be wrong, but I don't think I am. Anyways, the other layout seems to be a lot more complicated. Not as simple as the other and things seem squished. The Iframe deminsions are way too small for this site. The drop down menu is on the left and to be frank, I don't really like it. It's too....boring and generated. Sorry.

The image on the left is of the Live Action cast and I believe it's the cause of the Iframes' small size. It wouldn't be a big deal if the menu wasn't on the left-hand side. I suggest using an image map instead of the drop down menu. That way people are scrolling needlessly and the site doesn't appear squished.

Content-The second layout has more to offer content wise so I will review that one. There's a quiz, profiles, puzzles, wallpapers, information on the animated series, as well as the Live Action. I don't see any multimedia here (i.e. Music, video...) and there's hardly any images. I suggest having one or the other-if not both. ^__^ But if the webmaster (or webmistress) is short on bandwidth, I'd go with images. Just as affective. There's also an interview from one of the Mixx comics. An interesting read but a pain to read because of the horizontal scrolling. Again, I suggest changing the deminsions of the iframe so viewers don't have to strain their eyes inorder to view anything on the site.

Background/text-The color for the background is ok but the text is a tad bright. Not too bad, but it can hurt someone who's really sensitive. A darker color would of done nicely. That's my only complaint about the background/text portion of this review.

Overall Opinion-It's a nice idea to have two versions of a site but having two seperate layouts can be redundant, especially if the content isn't even the same. Try sticking to the same content on both and try to fix the iframe. Another thing to take into consideration is the drop down menu. It can be a nice addition to a site if it's used properly. Having it on the left just makes things worse for viewers. *Read above* I'd also suggest changing the text color from a yellow to black or any other dark color. That would allow viewers to not strain their eyes while viewing the Live Action version. I do, however, see some potential but things need to be done before I visit this site again.

Pluto

Neo Moon Kingdom....hmmm, nothing works on the splash page. *sigh* Already, not looking good when i see that.

Ok, the main page is much better then the splash page, being its working! Not too bad what im seeing here. The scroll bar blends into the background, so u may wanna do something about that. The text is alright. I'd suggest bolding it..it makes it easier to read. The naviagation is easy to find and is seperated into "information," "visuals," and extras."

soooo yea, click on cast and there's a complete different background, color, etc. Ok, well, its a small introduction to the characters of Sailor Moonl; from senshi to enemies. Some pics were missing from these, and it seems the Dark Kingdom and the animamates were just not there at all.

well, the season summaries are VERY long, but highly detailed. I love attention to detail, but I dont think its wise to tell the entire story of the season. I would prefer to see enough informaton to get someone to wanna purchase the discs.

Ok, Mythology, is exactly what is sounds like...the myths behind Sailor Moon. And Sailor Guardian doesnt exist @ all.

The wallpapers are a small collection, but it doesnt say where they came from. Were they done by the owner or gotten from other sites? Pluto must know!! And the same is w/ the fanart as well. The treasured items part is a small sample of all the SM merchandise out there. And the puzzle is well...a puzzle.

Extras is simply generic information bout PGSM Live Action, an interview w/ Naoko-sama, a quiz, and monthly contest.

Alright, after viewing the site of the site, i seem....unsatifised...its not really bad, but its good either. However, i think if the creator fixes the loose ends. This site can have potential.

Saturn

Ok so here I am looking at a monochromatic site. I can't read the text for what appears to be a splash image, and the five images below it are all broken and then there is a tiny looking button underneath that. I don't know the significance of that, so I am going to Control A this thing and see what it says.

Ok that was NOT expected. When I hit Control A the person's meta tags are showing except they aren't tags but actual text that is the same color as the page.... that is VERY odd. I have NEVER seen that before, and I hope I don't ever see it again as it kinda freaked me out. I mean after viewing the source code I can't figure out why it did this. However it also didn't highlight the text on the splash like I was hoping for it to as this is an image file.... Lemme just go with the right side as I am right handed and hope for the best. In the future people, please understand that text should be READABLE. As in easily read and not my trying to increase the prescription on my glasses by straining so hard too read it.

Ok, it seems like I picked the right link. So score one for me, and I gotta say, score zero for this site thus far. The colors are a horrible diarrhea yellow and this cadet blue. The font however is much easier to read here as it has a 3D kinda feel to it. The image on the right leaves a lot to be desired. Not only are the words cut off at the bottom, but it is also placed further down on the page instead of hugging the top. If it would have hugged the top, perhaps I could have read what it says. It is also giving that radioactive feel to it because the way the person felt everybody should be blurry and glowing. I have seen this image many times before and it DOESN'T look this washed out and horrid.

There is an iframe in the middle of the page. Whereas this isn't wrong, it doesn't look particularly GOOD either. The menu on the left when loading the page did this silly little thing where it expanded. I don't like animated stuff on sites. Drop down menus are one thing as they can be helpful for very decorative designs, but this site is not decorative and is rather plain. That is NOT a way to spice up a site so much as it makes you look like you stumbled upon a new script and just HAD to use it.

I clicked on the "Character Guide" and I am clicking back. These links are green like the rest of the page and it is very hard to read. I have a headache and I don't feel like straining my eyes anymore thank you much.

Season summaries is easier to read but as I know the seasons I don't need to read this section, and I will ASSUME that is is correct.

The "Mythology" section looks quite a bit similar to what I have seen on some other pages and some of the lines in it are oddly familiar. This doesn't make me happy, so I am moving on.

The "Sailor Guardian" link leads to a "Webserver Test" page.... I don't know what this is and I am going to assume that it is nothing more than a "I forgot that this is a link and haven't put it in" kinda thing.

When I first clicked the wallpapers section of this site, only the 800x600 loaded. I had to click a second time to get them all to load. And they are less than stellar to say the least. They are generally just an image or two with a colored background and some simple brushes. Not very impressive.

The fanart section isn't so much fanart as it is drawings that are copies of other images that are official images. Now mind you, I don't think they are bad. In fact they are rather nice, but I think they should be labeled "drawing attempts" or something as such as fanart usually implies somebody drawn by fans that is NOT based off official art. Done in their own pose and such, and this is not that. However the term fanart is up for interpretation, so I will leave it alone.

The treasured items portion of this site is nothing but a ploy for "lookie what I wasted my money on!"... aka an attention whore's dream. However I had the same loading problem here that I did for the wallpapers. I am getting a bit annoyed with the server that hosts this stie as things just don't want to load.

The Pretty Guardian section is badly organized and is a nightmare in itself. The links here are pathetic. One link to the official site, one link to Genvid of all places, and then to the Bit Torrent files.... I know that that is ALL I ever wanted to know about PGSM.

The contest HAS to be a joke as it is a "giveaway" this month.... All you have to do is sign the guestbook with the color of Rei's eyes.... riiight. This isn't a ploy to get guestbook signatures at all....

Naoko's interview is just a copy of what was printed in an Animerica issue YEARS ago. As in, I actually OWN the issue it is THAT old. (I stopped buying Animerica years ago as it just went to crap and too many advertisements.)

I am skipping the quiz. The Site Related section is horrible. The Affiliates page horizontally scrolls..... That is ALWAYS such a GREAT thing isn't it folks?

I'm done with this page. I am signing the guestbook (without the color of Rei's eyes included) and getting outta here.

Addendum: After finishing my review, I read what my reviewers had to say about the site and I was a bit taken back for a second and had to go back to this site. If you click the left side of the splash image, the site is quite different. Still nothing that I am going to fall over myself for, but I wished to let you know. Coincidentally, myself and Pluto both chose the right side and Uranus and Neptune chose the left. I apologize for the reviews if they seem conflicting or odd. I was not aware of this until I read their reviews after we had all finished ours.
