UranusBrevity is the soul of wit, says the Bard, and if that is true, than Nagaraboshi may be the chief advocate of that philosophy in the PGSM site world. Beautifully efficient, the site manages to pack in lots of information about the series without requiring that you spend hours there to get it. Neither condescending nor esoteric, the site assumes the reader has some knowledge of the basic premise, and is in need of details or materials, not complete help. In the information section, there are little one-page blurbs of the acts. Sadly, only the later ones are done. Each one includes the author's opinions on the act without fear of argument. Throughout the site, the author's stamp reigns, and it's made clear that no one else could have written this exact site. It's so refreshing to read a site where the author is saying what they think, and not what they believe people want to hear. The graphics and multimedia sections continue the trend of cleanliness and efficiency. There are screencap pages, but none on the episodes, only on some of the ancillary PGSM projects. In other words, not what would be found on every other site. Icons and wallpapers are here, all by the site author, who I'm hoping will enter our next contest, because it's this kind of brilliance-through-simplicity that we need. Above all of this, however, is the layout. This site looks like one that you would pay a lot of money to have developed for you. The neutral whites and beiges make the pictures stand out, and the pictures themselves are neither obtrusive in the page nor taxing on bandwidth. And the small squares and minimalist graphic fonts give the whole page the modern, clean look one wants out of a computer or software product. So, if you're a page viewer like me, then probably check out this site for entertainment. But if you have any aspirations at all toward web design yourself, then definitely check out this site for inspiration. |

ChibimoonOk, lets see what we got here ::opens page:: “Nagareboshi: your source for PGSM.” The color is a nice off white and its smoothing in its own way. This already looks like a good website, everything has its own little place. The updates are easily found in the center, unless the viewer has an IQ of under -6. hehe. The left side shows thumbnails of the five main actresses playing the senshi, and under that is the navigation.

Nagareboshi: After reviewing this site, I have to say its pretty good. I enjoyed my stay at the site, and I shall definitely return to it again. ^_^ This is Chibimoon signing out. |

SaturnAlright, I have seen this site before, and I just realized that it has a rotating main image. By that I mean that if you refresh the page, the main image will change. I like that, and wish I knew how to implement such a gorgeous layout myself. It would definately add to the appeal of Pocky Box, so on that note.... Author! If you have the time, please teach me how you did this gorgeous and simple layout. It is easy on the eyes and overall just beautiful. Enough gushing now, on to the actual content. Unfortunately the Act Overviews aren't done. There are very few of them here and I am a bit disappointed about that, but hopefully they will eventually go up. Ruth's commentary is currently down as it is on a broken link. I am happy to see the DVD List as I haven't seen this on any site to date. Nice idea. The Music Info is also nice to see. Also I am rather glad to see another site with the Download information as there are a lot of sites about the series, but very few that tell you where to get it. Good job! I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed in the Imagery category. The author admits that they Cast Galleries are scavenged, which is alright, but I was hoping for something different or at least something from their own stash. The Screen captures are alright, but I can do them myself. Oh well... can't win them all. The rest of this site is kinda generic. Overall this site is a good, but I would like to see some more original content. It is kinda tiring to see the same things over and over... |
