Alright! On first appearance of this site I am met with some bishounen love! Ok, so it is a picture of Shibby, but it works well with the subdued colors of the layout which I find very nicely done and very pleasing to the eye. They don't make me want to grab a hot poker and put my eyes out with it is that I am saying and that says a LOT for a site. The only gripe I have about the main graphic is that there seems to be a few TOO many brushes used. I think the geometric shapes would have been enough and that the swirls are just a bit too much, but that is why THEY are the designer and I am not.

The text on this layout is very easy to see and very nicely put together. Thank you for not making me highlight like so many bad sites have done. I like the torn edges look. It makes it look like they were going for a certain look and they achieved it, and frankly it looks VERY nice. (Psst! Hook me up with the brushes you used for this site! I love them!) The navigation is also rather clean, which is a good thing to see on sites these days. Some sites make it so hard to navigate and I a still trying to figure out why, but nice job here.

This sites content is wonderful and presented in a way that doesn't want me to break my own neck, so I am singing the "I love you" song. I like the set up of it, and the author definately knows what they are doing when it comes to explaining thing. I love their source images as well. Very well done.

Now lemme take a time out here.

You see, I find it hard to say much about these good sites. I am so impressed with them that it is hard to muster up the words to put down about them, so please don't flog me for my lack of words. It is my way of trying to get you to go view the site yourself. These sites don't make it into the good easily and I don't want you to read our review and never view them. I want to encourage you to go see them in all their glory like we were blessed with viewing. Now come on people, go view these sites. They really deserve it.

Time in!

Alright, so that time out was my way of saying that I am not going to say anything more about this site. This site is wonderful. Chock full of goodies and fun stuff. Give it a look. I guarantee that you won't be dissappointed.

I said GO didn't I? So why are you still here? :P

Moonlight Fortune. For the uninitiated, that's a lyric from the second verse of Kirai Sailor Dream. And perhaps it's a fitting title for this website too, because it's all about things you don't see or pay attention to in the course of PGSM. These are the highlights, but there's also a lot of filler, and together it makes for a palatable, if not exceptional, website.

The layout is well-designed in terms of positioning, though I am a bit unhappy with the lead image . There are too many brushes, and when you have too many for me, you have too many. And the site's title is in some freaky, 70s-esque font. It's just about saved, though, with a nice use of color. This continues down to the text parts of the site, which is particularly easy to navigate. So points there.

The top section is information, and if it weren't the top part, it'd be more forgivable. The senshi profiles do get full writeups, not just stats, but they're more like synopses of each one's first appearance. And for the actors, we do get nothing but stats, and this part needs to be either fleshed out or scrapped. For all site owners out there, weigh the following question when deciding to put in stuff like this. Which is more likely: A. a Sailor Moon newbie finding your site but not sticking around because it doesn't tell him the basic info, or B. a Sailor Moon veteran finding your site and not getting to the unique parts because he gets fed up reading the basic info?

Fortunately, I am not Sailor Moon fan B above, so I do get to see the good parts of this site, labelled miscellaneous. There are closeups of the costume designs of PGSM, pictures of the CD and DVD covers, and item lists. My personal favorite part was the attack comparisons. Here the author gives detailed descriptions of all the PGSM attacks, and how they differed from the anime and manga versions. A very interesting read.

It's tough to peg Moonlight Fortune. It's possible to dismiss it as a clone of all the others, but there's genuine effort here. It just needs some spark to ignite interest. A forum or guestbook might help make it more personable as well. But for now, it seems like a fun time that's not worth too many repeat visits.

Layout=pretty! Shibby is the main image on "Moonlight Fortune" and I say that is a good choice! Nothing seems crowded on the main page so let's take a look at the links on the right!

Under "Information" we have the following links: "Introduction, Characters, Previews, Monsters, Tune In! and Cast". The first three links are pretty standard information on the series so I'm skipping the review for the links (btw I did glance at them at they seemed pretty good).

"Monsters" is what I am interested in! She took images from all the Youma in PGSM (the new ones..) and I must say this is a nice change to websites. Not many put this much info of PGSM monsters on their sites! Kudos!

The last two links under "Information" are again standard so I will skip them.

Next Catagory is "Miscellaneous". Under this we have the following "Items, Costume Designs, Attack Comparisons and Merchandise". Out of these links "Costume Designs" is my favorite as it compares PGSM with it's counterpart-Manga. Very cool! What's better is that she took it a bit further and did each character! Woot!

"Attack Comparisons" is just as it sounds! The PGSM attacks are compared to the Anime and Manga versions.

"Merchandise" has images of the MANY PGSM items for sale-or were for sale. Not a guide but more of a "this is what's out there...go find!"

Next Catagory we have is "Website". This is a standard section. Tells visitors about the site and the site has a "Credits" section!! WOW!A BIG HUGE PLUS for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Ahem*

Lastly the section of "Extra" contains the "Disclaimer" and the link back to "Home".

Overall Thoughts: A very nice site with tons of nice information on the characters-including the Youma! Also big plus was the credit page which isn't seen very often. I don't see anything negative on this site as everything works as it should. A++++ site!

Breakdown of site 87.5/100

Welcome and site Identity 8
-The site is very inviting and easy on the eye, with muted colours. The graphic is a bit overdone, but still all right. Looking at the source code, I am very impressed, as it doesn't look 'machine' coded (ie using dreamweaver). The designer obviously knows (or appears to know :)) what she's doing and that's great to see.

Navigation 9
-The navigation is clearly set out, with back links on every page. There are categories and subcategories that make complete sense and are fully self-descriptive.

Content of Interest 9
-This site is chock full of interesting content, including stuff I haven't seen on any other site before (and believe me, I have seen far too many *grins*) and that is great to see. There are so many sites that just stop at the regular stuff you can find on any site, so a refreshing change was overdue. I especially liked the costume and attack comparisons. The costume comparisons are something I've not seen before, and they're both presented in a very interesting fashion. There's always room for improvement though, as far as adding more content to the list. There could be more in the way of character and cast biographies.

Advertising and sponsorship 8
-There are a lot of links to fan sites, showing that people must visit this site and agree with the estimation that it is great :)

Self-promotion 8
-The site pretty much stands as a promotion of itself, everything is presented in an organised manner and has content on it that is not found anywhere else.

Filler 8
-There's very little useless filler information on this website. Everything is interesting and well presented. The background is nicely done and consistent.

White-space 8.5
-Very good use of white space on the site. It's easy on the eyes, easy to read and not over-full of graphics or text. It's got a bit too much white in the right margin as it's coded for 600x800 only but it does fit well on 1024x768 as well, which is what I use.

Other 9
-On the whole, I am very impressed with this site, and it's definitely one I will consider adding to my link/affiliate list. Everything is well done, not over the top, and the information is presented in a new way that makes you think about it and see the similarities and differences in the characterisation. Definitely a site to watch and learn from.
