SaturnAlrighty, upon first view of this site, I am impressed. I mean that. For once it is nice to see a site that doesn't make your eyes want to scream at you. It has a nice design and colors that are gentle on the eyes. I am not sure if I LIKE the colors, but I don't dislike them, that is for sure. They don't make me want to scream at the designer, nor do they make me want to close the window to save myself a headache (literally in some reviews). The only complaint I can see about the general layout of the page is that the artist might want to blend the top image a bit. It looks too rough at the edges... that is the nice way of saying that it looks like they didn't blend it at all. It looks like the image was put into photoshop, a color overlay added and then some swirls, but no blending on the right hand side. It is a nice attempt, but maybe fading it into the rest of the page would have worked a bit better. However, I am still glad to see something like this as opposed to some sites that just slap rough chopped images together, so KUDOS TO YOU! I am also happy to say that after clicking every link on the page, only one of them doesn't work, and that is ironically the "PGSM" link. Those links might not be bursting with content, but at least they work, so more props go to the webmaster/webmistress. Alright, lets dig in here shall we? A lot of this site still needs to be put up, but it doesn't brandish that awful "under construction" garbage or anything like that, it simply says something to the effect of "coming soon". Take note folks that this is MUCH nicer then seeing "under construction" as that is just lame and means you are lazy. I mean you couldn't even take the time to state something, but instead put an image? NO! Take notes from this web author on how to do a site nicely and prettily. I can't really say all that much about this site as there isn't much content, but as it stands, it has earned its way into "The Good" column respectfully. And some of you web authors out there could take a tip from this site that it doesn't have to be flashy or intricate to be a good site. This site is simple and to the point and I really like it. The design is easy to navigate and is easy on the eyes. Thank you very much for letting me enjoy your site. |

UranusDid you ever have a class in school where you missed so many assignments that the teacher couldn't even give you a grade and so your report card said "incomplete"? Which isn't quite as bad as "F" but still doesn't allow you to pass? Well, that's what's going on at Happily After All: A Usagi & Mamoru Site. So much of the site is coming soon, under construction, or yet to be. Further problem: the last content update was a month and a half ago as of this review. What would be here if it were done is a panegyric to Usagi and Mamoru, one of those vicarious romances where the author finds happiness through U and M's. There's a fanlisting and some basic bio pages, but the meat of the site, the explanation of the romance, simply isn't there. Maybe I can imagine one, and fill in the site myself. OK, I'm back. That was fun. But in the real world this site is boring and useless. It was only started three months ago, so maybe the site owner just got bored and moved on. If that's the case, why bother uploading it? Make the page on your computer and wait till it's finished (if ever) to upload it. You'll make things easier on me, for certain. Conclusion: give this one a miss, unless and until it's actually finished. But since every review I do must have something positive to say, I'll just mention that the picture on the front page is a very nice monochromatic shot, and the whole layout is very easy on the eyes. It's just a shame there's no house built on this foundation. |

NeptuneOooooo pretty!! I like the layout! *Praises the goddess of Love!* Finally! This looks like a fanlisting site. I never reviewed a fanlisting site before so here we go!Simple navagation and it's not crowded with information! Only link I see that doesn't work is the "PGSM" one. Let's move onto the "Fun" section. Ooooo pretty icons/avatars!!! I love it! These were done by other people but I bet they are people who are part of the fanlisting. Again I don't do fanlistings so I have no clue. @_@ Tho I really love the icons!! No banners yet. Darn! Wallpapers-there are two. Those are nice too. There's a page for fanfiction but it looks like she's looking for some too so let's move on. "Site" has your basic information-"Affiliates", "Links," "Link Me," "Info" and "Contact". Nothing bad to say about any of it. I don't see anything bad about this site and I just want to hug the webmistress for doing it! Wow...my shortest review! |
